Love riding motorcycle from the San Francisco Bay area for lunch at the Old Town Grill, browsing old and large hardware store, antique shops and art stores! Town is a bit touristy but has lots of history and atmosphere. Lots of picturesque back country, and winding roads. Large public parking garage that is free for 2 hours.

A nice place worth visiting on a day trip. The vibes is so great and I learnt a lot about its history back in the day.

Downtown Placerville is a cute little spot to visit and walk around. My one complaint is that it’s not very stroller/disabled friendly at some of the crosswalks further down the north end of Main Street. Near Main Street Melters there’s a few sidewalks that don’t have ramps so those with small children and people in wheelchairs are unable to safely cross the street

Love this place! Gorgeous landscape and beautiful sight seeing. Wish more stores were open. It depends what time of day you go, not many are open. However, the forest cafe dinner is a must.

Cool little historic town. We were there for Hangtown Days festival. Wagon train rolled into town, there were shoot outs, grilled food and beers flowing freely. Many local shops to browse through and live music and dancing in tbe streets. You gotta check it out at least once.
