Rooms are big and well appointed. Very reasonably priced and dog-friendly. We have stayed four years. First two were great. This year and last year we have had problems. Last year our room was double-booked and people were trying to get into the room at midnight. This year our room had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were personal belongings left from a previous guest in the room. The tub did not drain properly. The pipes froze. They do not abide by their posted and stated office hours.

Comforter had yellow stain on the top. Body wash/shampoo dispenser was empty (not even the soap refill bottle was in there, and maintenance was supposed to be at our room in 15 minutes from us placing a call, they never showed up). The room itself looks nice, the TV works, and the heater/ac worked fine. Beds were comfortable other than us questioning how clean they are. Tried calling the office again in the late afternoon but no one picked up.

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Especially if you have young toddler aged kids.
I’d compare this place to a Red roof inn or super 8. There is animal hair EVERYWHERE. We have zero pets but are leaving with our stuff covered in pet hair….
Walls so thin you can hear conversations next door, and if there are kids it’s even worse. You can hear the kids through the walls 4 doors down. I have kids of my own so it didn’t bother me personally but if you’re someone that would be bothered by that, go somewhere else FOR SURE. It is not very clean at all, the beds are the opposite of comfy and the room is either super cold or super hot. We stayed for a week and could not find a happy medium during that time. They nailed the headboard to the wall so when my toddler threw my husband’s phone behind it we had to wait hours for maintenance. They never answered any of the numbers they give you even the “emergency” number. The office is never open at 7 like they say they are either. The maintenance man was super nice though!
If you can’t stand cheaper than cheap toilet paper.. buy your own. We did. The beds are so old and uncomfortable it’s not even funny. My husband can sleep almost anywhere but our stay here neither of us could get much of any sleep at all. Just a bunch of back pain.
The turn in for this place is VERY hard to see and not real easy to turn into especially at night or in the snow. We heavily considered leaving and going somewhere else but just really couldn’t afford to lose the hundreds we spent to stay here so we put up with it. Next time, we will most definitely be staying in the holiday inn or literally anywhere else. Couldn’t pay me to come back for another week. A day, sure maybe even 2 days if the things above don’t bother you but don’t stay a week like we did. The room you book will most likely not be the room you get so be prepared for that too.

We recently went to Estes Park for our Anniversary and it was amazing, the hotel experience was good, we were below the office we did hear footsteps but the good thing was that since my lady and I are early birds it didn’t really bother us. Juan was amazing, he fulfilled my special request I wanted to make my anniversary special and he made it possible. Thank you Juan it was amazing, the views are good, walking distance to the visitors center and downtown. Town looks like one of those towns you see on a Hallmark movie so beautiful. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Estes Park. We did see Elk, and they have a pond with ducks. For breakfast we pretty much went local restaurants to try the foods but overall experience was very good.

This place is a dive! We had 2 two rooms and both were gross!

The showers come with a dispenser that includes a combo of body wash and shampoo, but we discovered at 11pm mid shower that ours was completely out.

The rooms had stains on the floor, a broken headboard and the bathroom sink drain had rust on it!

It was a windy night and the backdoor to the room even blew open at 3am!

We discussed all this with the front desk during checkout and were told man would be in contact to issue a refund, but that hasn't happened.

This was literally the dirtiest most run down hotel I've ever stayed in.

I am sure there are nice rooms here but we were not placed in one. We were placed in a room in a small building behind one of the main, two-story buildings. The view out the window was a janky fence littered with ladders, old grills and waist-high weeds. Outside the door was littered with hundreds of cigarette butts.

The 'light' over the sink was faulty and would only work sporadically. My husband notified the front desk that it was shorting out and a fire hazard but nobody bothered to even look at it during our 4 night stay.

The grounds are in desperate need of attention. I understand water conservation but this is, for the most part, a dirt lot.

Breakfast was yogurt, frozen waffles and warm hard boiled eggs.

I will say that the location is excellent for watching the elk on the 9-hole golf course and near to several restaurants. It is also within walking distance to downtown.

Overall, this was disappointing considering we had wanted to try this place for quite some time.

Decent hotel rooms with comfortable beds. Somewhat rugged atmosphere kind of like a classic mountain lodge. The off season price was very reasonable especially compared to the other options available in town. Was able to make a same day reservation with flexible check in.
