I was ready to purchase a $2600 bike when the old man working there commented to me in regards to some Spanish speaking customers "Where is ICE when you need it". Then referring to them as "Those type of people" after they left. I took my business elsewhere and am so happy I did.

I had very positive experience today. My daughter's cheap e-bike front wheel was not trued\balanced, walked in and in 10 min the wheel was fixed, went back home, installed it and the wheel looks straight! TY, Derby shop!

Stopped in and considered buying but wouldnt let me toddler use their bathroom. Who says no to a 3 year old kid who needs to potty. Do better. Will not patronize.

I've seen a ton of negative comments about customer service, but I didn't let that deter me from stopping in to get supplies for fixing a flat on my bike.

I entered right behind another customer and was helped immediately. Bill led me to the front counter and showed me various repair kits. He had the self adhesive type as well as the glue based patches with the scraper to scuff the tire. He also provided the tire levers ti assist with removing the tire from the rim.

Although not overly friendly, he was efficient and professional. He had a job to do and he did it in an efficient manner. I was there for the convenience (location and time) and it was provided.

The cost was a little high, but again, I was willing to pay for the convenience. And, it seems the cost of everything has risen.

Will definitely go back if I need something again!

I literally never right reviews. But I have been trying to track down a rare bike for a few years from a childhood hero a Dave Mira Haro tribute. I had a flair when I was a kid and actually rode with Dave once. Derby shipped it quick and did a great job of repackaging the bike before shipping it out! Can’t wait to put it together

It has potential. My first impression was cramped. They have such a huge selection of bikes, they didn't fit in the building. When you browse, you're constantly hitting other bikes and having to shift your body. With that, the bike you may want could be overlooked behind all the other bikes. With that, I went on a Monday afternoon around 3:30 pm and was the only customer there. I was greeted promptly but the older heavy set with gray hair that was borderline rude. When I told him I'm new to buying a bike and not exactly sure what is out there or needed, his response was "well have a look". With so many bikes and little to no signage, I had no idea what I was looking for. There was no follow up questions, probing or any kind of commitment to help me choose a bike, let alone help sell a bike. In the end, I ended up taking pictures so I can do some research at home and will most likely buy elsewhere that I feel more comfortable and has better customer service skills.

The old man, who is the only guy to help you is no help at all. He was rude to me for not having enough money to buy his over priced items. He was mad that he had to open a plastic package to see if he was giving me the right tool. He charged me 55.00 for brakes when they go for 10 each online. There’s a much better shop on 104 and Huron that does repairs. They have amazing customer service. They will order you parts and if you need any help with your bike they are more than happy to do the work for you at no cost and show you how to do it.

I’ll start by saying I’ve shopped here for years and have purchased 6 bicycles here over the years, but never again will they get a dime from me. I stopped in at 6:35pm on a week night with my 12 year old son to get the Presta Valve tube pumped up on his new bike. I was told the service center turned off the compressors at 6:30 and they were not willing to turn them back on. I enquired about a new pump to purchase, or a new tube, or insight in to filling these type of tubes, being that we bought the bike from Derby less than a year ago. Bill was rude in his assessment of the situation and in a hurry to close shop for the day at 6:35pm when the shop hours are listed as open until 7pm. He made a few remarks before asking me to move out of the way so they could bring bikes in to close the store for the evening. It is apparent as the years have gone on Bill and his store continue to go down-hill. Customer service speaks volumes about ones business, and a 30 second conversation gave me all I needed from this business.
