Avoid if you can. Bad news. 2 days straight we've asked for housekeeping services. Asked front desk twice and even wrote a separate note that we left with front desk (3 requests with the front desk each time promising to "make a note"). Still, we come back to no beds made, no garbage picked up, and a single roll of toilet paper placed on top of our toilet (meaning they came and that's all they did!) See pics. On top of that - elevator out of order, mini fridge broken, phones did not work, tub dirty, hot tub not hot but cold, and pool dirty. I tried to report a hazard related to the remaining functioning elevator (water was spilled inside and I almost slipped.. no one was at the front desk when I looked around and when I went to my room to try and call from the room phone it didn't work so the hazard stayed. Hopefully no one was hurt). Not making this up. Totally bananas. I get it, it's not like we're paying a lot to stay the night. I'm seeing family in town and this place was a convenient option, but come on.. if you're going to advertise that you have a hot tub, a clean pool, functioning elevators without basic personal injury hazards, functioning phones, a fridge that works, a clean tub, and basic housekeeping services don't you think those base amenities should, at a minimum, be present ? LoL, what a gross place. ? Boo Marriott, I'm embarrassed for you.

We stayed here two nights, and everything was perfect. When we checked in, we were given the wrong room (needed wheelchair accessible). JR was able to get us into the right room and even had all our things moved for us!
The correct room had an issue with the room conditioner, but someone came to fix it within 5 minutes of calling the front desk about it.
I truly felt the staff cared about our stay being pleasant and comfortable (especially JR!).
Would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is horrible. We stayed here for 12 days and house keeping only cleaned/refreshed our room only 30% of the time. They even asked us to pick the towels at the front desk on our own. Despite numerous attempts to communicate with the front desk staff, manager and housekeepers. Nothing was done. Their comments were there was the "do not disturb sign on the door" when housekeeping did the walkthrough between 8:00 to 9:00 in the morning. We always let the housekeeping and front desk knew to clean our room when we leave the hotel around 10:00 am. So contacting front desk to deliver towels to our room was a daily routine after we returned to our room at night. I even filed a complaint to the Marriott Customer Care but no one took our concerns seriously. I couldn't believe this happened to a Marriott chain hotel. Do not stay here!!!

Cleanliness and quality of the rooms could be improved. There were several stains on the curtains and chair. The bedsheets kept coming off during my sleep which was gross and annoying. Staff was nice. No continental breakfast. The pool was freezing (probably not heated) and the hot tub was like warm. Only three pillows on the beds.

This is not a Courtyard Marriott I would ever stay at again for numerous reasons.

The first being I have never felt more hot stuffy common areas to include lobby, hallways, elevators and honestly everywhere but the rooms. Room AC is also crap. It was extremely hot the day of my stay and it was quite literally just as hot inside. What are you doing I should note this is one of the nicer lobbies I've seen at a CM, but you can't even enjoy it because you're literally sweating.

No charger ports at all in the rooms. Ripped curtains. Outdated dingy bathroom. Automatic lights that blind you when you get up at night to go to the restroom. Honestly, the worst stay I've had in a long time and I travel A LOT. I didn't even go out to the pool area after seeing the stained dingy looking pool and water. Odd location that feels like an industrial area.
Advice to owner quit being so insanely cheap and live up to the Marriott standard. You're not even close.

Courtyard Newark Silicon Valley has been a preferred option for business travel for a while now. Its access to near by companies like Lucid Motors makes it a great spot. The rooms are well equipped, the options provided are slightly above average and the staff is great.

Bunch of dishonest staff. Well trained to lie and rude. Do not book through Expedia or any other third party websites as these folks don’t honor that. Booked a twin room with mini freeze, microwave other amenities as I had kids with me .checked in at 11 PM and they gave basic twin beds room with no amenities. when i questioned it, the rude staff said take it or leave it at that point of time. managers are not reachable, they have aristocratic working hours . Baaaaaaad place. shame on what they are doing to the brand. will never book again

Great for the price. Room Nd hallway Carpet can be cleaner. Looks dirty. Swimming pool can be upgraded.
