A lovely little place that's predominantly used books (thank goodness) at actual used book prices (extra nice)! I spent way too much money for a ton of huggable books ranging in topics from Irish history, California tsunami ethnography, to sci-fi, and my personal fave, scientific thrillers. There's even a section of first editions and Nat Geos hiding in the back

Amazing book store! I’ve been going there since I was a kid with lawn mowing money, and have never had a bad experience. I recently moved back to Sandpoint after 11 years in Minneapolis, and I really love what they’ve done at their new location. I bought 2 used Stephen King paperbacks, and the fella who always works there when I come in (the owner?) is one of the wittiest people I’ve ever met! After I paid for my books I said “thanks, you have a good one!” As I typically do, to which he replied “thanks for noticing”. I didn’t get it until I reached the door, but then I couldn’t stop laughing! The guy has an Oscar Wilde level of comedic wit! I plan to go back every payday to fill my bookshelves…after that, I’ll buy more bookshelves!

First off I live in Texas, and this book store is the best thing about Idaho with the pie hut a close second. Love the selection and the prices. Been a fan for over twenty years. You can get everything from first editions, signed books, books from the last few years or books from over 100 years ago. I never leave without a stack of books.

Such a lovely little shop! Great selection of both used and new books, the store was clean and organized, and the owner was helpful and friendly. Really appreciated finally finding a bookstore I felt safe and comfortable enough to go into during the pandemic due to their strong mask-wearing adherence!

I have frequented this store since I was a kid. It's been the same owner the entire time. However, I do miss his pug Molly. It was sad when he had to relocate the store, but the layout is similar abs there is still a mountain of books to lose yourself in.
Always willing to special order whatever he doesn't have, and it arrives fairly quickly.
