Went to the races and this was About the only place open on Sunday so we gave it a try. I'm so glad we stopped. What a cozy little bar and grill. Deep fried mushrooms were not too bad. My husband had a pastrami burger and he said it was killer. I would highly recommend this little place. Friendly staff as well as great table service... Thanks Chat and Chew!!!

I’ve gone here many times! Food and service is awesome, Super friendly, makes me feel like cheers where everyone knows your name. And I really go in every couple weeks for the same chicken bacon Swiss with onion rings and my girl gets the chicken Malibu sandwich!

One of the best places in town for food and a beer, or drink, or even a soda!

I can’t say enough about the awesome atmosphere at The Chat and Chew. We ended up at the Chat and Chew because of the clever namesake and because we were retrieving our dad’s van from the chevron. Even my brothers were raving about the chat and chew environment. You can do all of your favorite things there: drink, and smoke cigarettes and scratch lottery tickets to your heart is content, but be aware, if you have too many doubles you will be asked to leave. We didn’t eat but next time I will definitely be ordering the mini fried tacos. The icing on the cake were the rad neon tank tops. See photo. Thanks for the awesome afternoon!

This was our first time here and we'll definitely be back. The only downside was that I thought we had seen a no smoking sign. Yet there were a number of folks smoking in there. But it is a bar and grill afterall. But the food was delicious! And the service was great. All of the staff and customers, for that matter, were really nice.

The food was tasty, but it was very smokey in the dining area. Yep, it's an Idaho bar (sorry, just not used to smoking indoors anymore...) umm, try the bacon double cheeseburger, and thanks for offering several choices on the spuds for sides.

Stopped in an a road trip from Texas to Montana after reading all the positive reviews & was unpleasantly suprised at the customer service… or lack thereof. Neither the bartender nor staff said more than a few words to me despite sitting at the bar alone. When I asked for my check the bartender simply said “Thirteen”, nothing else. Whether they didn’t like my new face, skin tone, or “Combat Veteran” hat, this place was all chew and no chat. Spend your money elsewhere if you want to feel valued as a customer.
