Nice staff, good chicken selection. Their heat lamps don’t last long. I bought one for my chicks and it lasted about a week. I made it back to the store three minutes before they closed to get another one so the chicks wouldn’t freeze overnight, because of that I didn’t have time to ask for a return and replacement, so I just bought another one, a two pack. Each of them also only lasted a week. The box says 5000 hours and a week is about 168 hours… about 3% of the advertised time. I came back and talked to them about it, they were very nice. They returned the two pack I bought and said I could replace it with a new one. But apparently I bought the two pack when it was on sale so they made me pay the remaining six dollars for this new two pack even though it is not my fault that their merchandise failed. I will no longer be shopping here. If you want heat lamps, you might consider going somewhere else.

On the positive side, nice selection on animal feeds and comparable prices to other retailers. However, prices on shelf vs. at the register varied by $5, and the cashier did not even want to have the tagged price confirmed.

Bought a snowblower last spring and the first time I used it this winter it would not ruin very well. Took it back to the store. They looked up my receipt and traded me models with a slight upgrade. Whole transaction took less than 30 minutes. Very professional with the emphasis on my satisfaction. Great experience.

Steve, the Store Manager, is a rockstar. Couldn't find the work pants I was looking for and he went to the Blackfoot and Rexburg stores to get them and had them back in Idaho Falls the next day! Talk about caring about the customer experience! Well done, sir.

I remember when Cal used to be right next to Fred Meyeres. Lol, now they've moved over by Walmart in Ammon! I've always loved this store. The amount of random things they have is crazy. They accomadate hunters, farmers, fishermen, etc. Anything really! I always make sure to stop by when they have all the baby ducks and chickens! Plus, they have a great clothing section as well!!

I talked to Allie on the phone and she was very helpful and left me with faith in humanity again. Then when I showed up at the store, she came up to me and helped me even more and was very personal, kind, and seemed to have her head on straight.

I can't help Cal Ranch rectify issues with what has been stated well before my rating. It apparently claims it wants to discuss prior complaints with staff to make it better, but every time I go in the store, there is yet the same similar problems. Inattentive self involved checkers, shelves that don't have correct price labels or labels at all, are the most recent problems. I also don't think that certain checkers who become unfriendly, demanding, and infantilize customers isn't a character trait to procure when hiring.

Been coming here for a little while and have had no real issues until this year. The alfalfa cubes we use that comes in plastic bags has been hit or miss. I thought maybe they would fix theses issues. The biggest issue which would probably be an easy fix is if they didn’t leave all the alfalfa, hay and other bagged grasses outside in the elements. When I talked to someone at corporate they said that it was most likely not them but the place they ordered them from. When I returned them the cashier said the manager ordered to many pallets and that they didn’t have enough place to cover all the pallets. They were able to refund me the money which is nice.
I’ve chosen to go somewhere else that stores there alfalfa indoors and since had no issues. I’ll still use calranch for some products but lost my business for feed for our animals.
