Amazing time at the hotel, cozy room with great access to the hot springs out back. Amazing view and the snow hit right as we were settled into the tub, so we can confirm it’s lovely anytime of the year. Pierce at the front desk was a phenomenal help and took care of any and all needs or questions that arose during our stay. As a bonus, they also had the largest free breakfast spread out of any of the places we stayed during our trip. Will definitely book again if we find ourselves back in town!

Question #1, would I return? Absolutely, Yes! Perfect location for walking to the ice park & not at all to far to walk downtown. Quite area. The hot tubs are a huge bonus, quiet & scenic! The breakfast was beyond expectation. This is not a new facility but adequately updated. Staffed with good people! And they have GREAT coffee!!

This is an older lodge with untreated hot springs on site. If you are looking for a four star modern hotel this is likely not your destination or
Lodge.

If you are looking to get away to some peace and quiet with clean older rooms , basic fresh included breakfast and walking distance from town, this is it.

Just stay away from the restaurant at twin peaks. Their pizza is gross

Located on the outskirts of town, the lodge provides a quant and quiet place to stay. The small hot springs tubs are great for a more intimate setting to share with that special someone. The tubs are close to the rooms and offer a variety of different temperatures.

Check in was easy and quick. There's plenty of parking close by and the entire area seemed very safe. The rooms were very comfortable and highly recommend renting robes for the hot springs!

This was a great weekend getaway for the girlfriend and me. This trip was to celebrate her birthday and she loved it. We visited in mid-November and I highly recommend this time of year, as town is quiet and less crowded as compared to the summer.

My husband and I have been staying at the Box Canyon Lodge for many decades. Every time we think about getting away from Boulder for a few days, we seem to end up back in Ouray, for very good reasons.

As always, our most recent stay at the Box Canyon Lodge was great - always lives up to expectations. A special shout-out to Jessica, who was working evenings at the front desk for most of our stay. She was extremely welcoming, personable, and knowledgeable. She made us, and other folks staying there, feel right at home.

5 stars from me and my ole lady! I got us a room up here for her birthday we stayed Friday and checked out Saturday had an amazing stay i can definitely say I will be coming back! Tubs were amazing room was super nice and updated! Well worth what they are asking per night!! Thank you guys for a wonderful stay!

I feel like this hotel could be so much more!
I booked a King Tub Room, which looks out to the natural tubs. You are not guaranteed to use one of the tubs, you may get to only admire for your booking choice, because of popularity and people from other hotels using them. It was so loud and miserable that we hardly slept. There were so many slamming doors and you can hear every step the person above you makes, so I do not recommend ground level if you love beauty sleep. The room was mediocre, with dirty carpets, a non draining tub, toilet handle hardly working, no extra blankets or pillows and no laundry bag for your bathing suits. This is hotel is not worth the price you pay. There are other hotels in Ouray worth the $300 price tag, but unfortunately this hotel is NOT it.

Absolutely lovely spot in Ouray and a must stay! The family suite is spacious. Rooms were cozy and the location is perfect! The guest only access hot spring tubs to at overlook the town was a wonderful added bonus.
Kitchen was fully stocked with all things needed for basic meal though knives were sparse. Toilet room didn’t have a vent, shower supplies needed restocking (no shampoo or body wash) and we were not informed of extra charge to store bike in the room on check in. There was a small sign in the room that we overlooked and the staff were prompt to inform us after however we had difficulty after reaching out to someone to clarify and avoid the charge.
That being said we will 100% stay here again and would highly recommend.
