The absolute best bookstore in Los Angeles!! I have been an antique book collector for quite some time and come from a family of book collectors, and this is by far the best spot for books. Owned by a beautiful, wonderful, and intelligent woman who is so passionate about books, literature, and her business. With a wide selection of every genre you could possibly imagine, with absolutely amazing prices, you are sure to find everything and anything you are looking for? I could not recommend this store enough!!

Very well curated selection at fair prices. I always stop in here and buy a book when I’m in the neighborhood. The owner carefully selects the titles and I always make new discoveries and find great books by artists and writers I love. This is a special bookstore. Please do yourself a favor and stop in and for any used book aficionado, this store is a must.

This is a great book shop! I stopped in today for the first time and came away with a fantastic haul of astronaut books for my collection. A tremendous selection of collectible out of print books - I will definitely be stopping in again!

I love this used book store. I discovered it by chance while passing by and stopped to look through the cart outside of $2 books. I found something great and then went inside where I was welcomed by Lisa, the owner, who is warm and helpful. There is a nice selection of used and old books in so many different categories. I picked up two more books inside and just enjoyed skimming through the shelves. It’s a lovely book store for anyone who loves books and especially used and out of print ones.
I appreciate stores like this still being around, let’s help keep them in business.

Cute book store, Kind lady but the prices were not what I expected for a used bookstore… I bought a Robert Greene book and payed way more than what I would’ve payed at Barnes and nobles or target or Amazon…she said because it was first edition but its all the same thing. I won’t be buying from here again as I felt overcharged and left a bad taste.

Used to buy books here all the time when I volunteered at the old Rising Lotus. Still have really interesting out of print books on TV history... We live in Burbank and don't really venture out to Sherman Oaks that much these days. I randomly looked it up and soooo glad to see they're still open and running.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! My partner and I went for the first time this weekend as a date, and had a blast!

We thought that if we were lucky, we’d find one possibly-good book each.

We ended up walking out with more than dozen altogether, and some dvds to boot!

Please understand, there aren’t a lot of fiction books, which is my preferred genre, and I STILL was like a kid in a candy store, going nuts and getting more than a hundred dollars worth of books and dvds (many of which were cheaper than what I’d get elsewhere). I got got a fair amount of Christmas shopping done as well! We got some must-have classics, some old personal favorites, some aviation books (for my aerospace-engineer brother and his aerospace engineer partner).

The woman who runs the place is STELLAR. There is a huge selection of amazing books, even some really really old ones. I’m talking leather-covers, collector-level old. AND, get this….she hand picks each book on the shelf! How awesome is that? The level of dedication and personal passion that she puts in is so incredible and made me really fall in love with the place. She is so kind and friendly. She was also very accommodating with our questions, but otherwise let us browse and explore without breathing down our neck, which I really really appreciate.

We will definitely become regulars. My partner won’t let me come back for a while though because I would happily spend every day there and empty out my piggy bank each time.

Highly recommend visiting, there was a very unique selection of books, I was pleased to see the variety of copies I would not find anywhere else. Lisa was very friendly and helpful as well!
