I had a great experience yesterday. The store was buzzing with customers when I visited mid-afternoon and it made me so happy to see people shopping locally. I was looking for gift ideas for my parents and I found the staff to be very knowledgeable when I requested recommendations within various genres. Highly recommend and keep up the great work Parker in supporting this local gem!

This was a really great bookstore! I live a little ways away but I wanted to come check this out on my day off. It was fantastic! I’m sure I will be back again!! It was just lovely! Great selection of books and other trinkets. Wonderful bookstore name! I’d definitely visit more often if I lived closer but its definitely a great one!

Books Are Awesome has all the efficiency and accessibility of a large book store, but with a distinctly individual approach. At many small book stores, when you request a title which isn’t in their catalogue, the title request will be made, but you might have to wait for others to show interest so an order for more than one copy can be placed. At Books Are Awesome, if you request a title not currently on their shelves, they will order a copy just for you, ready to be picked up in store within days or at most a week. Additionally, their staff is both incredibly knowledgeable and resourceful, making it feel like each time I walk in, I’m in good company. Books Are Awesome makes you feel right at home each time you come in. One of my favorite small book stores I’ve ever been to.

Wonderful place for any book lover! I arrived from out of state and looked for local and found this fabulous gem! They did not have a poet for me BUT they recommended a local author I ended up adoring!! Super happy to find a new author and a great bookstore! #worththetrip

This place is amazing!! Everyone who works here is super nice and the process of pre-ordering is incredibly easy. I love that I get a text when my book is ready. They have so much fun stuff in the store and I will definitely be making many trips back in the future

just visited from an hour away for an author event and i was so amazed by my time at books are awesome! super friendly and accepting environment, great selection (of so many books i never see even when i frequent other booksellers), and so well organized! i have been to a few author events but this was the best! they themed it and made fun activities for us to enjoy while we waited to meet the author! i will happily drive an hour to visit again.

I’m so glad a friend told me about this place. I didn’t catch her name but the person at the desk was really kind and helpful. I love that they have book clubs, maybe I can join one sometime. Seems like a great selection of different items!
