*SUPPORT LOCAL BOOKSTORES*

I have lived here for almost 8 years and am disappointed in myself for not knowing this place existed until now. They have a huge selection of different genres and the two times I’ve been in the store the staff (who have been different each time) know their stuff and their repeat customers and what they are looking for! So excited to make this my new place to buy books. While it costs more than shopping at Amazon or Target I would like to be able to have places like this around when I retire and it won’t be possible if people don’t keep shopping at these locally owned bookstores!

To the lady who may be the owner or an employee: I might be just one of the countless customers in your day but you are the face of the business I will remember by. I felt really bad holding you up at the cash register because of my mistake but I don't think it warranted your rolling eyes and exasperated gestures, especially when I patiently waited without a complaint while you were too busy helping picking out a dozen books for another customer. I was already pretty damn embarrassed even without your overt frustrations at me. I would give one star for this encounter but giving two because I used to really like your store. As I said, I'm just one of many customers and you may not care. But how you acted and made me feel today will be all I remember about you and BookPeople.

This place is the reason I rarely buy new books from Amazon anymore. BookPeople are local, kind, and always super helpful with ordering books. I love their selection and organization, and have spent so much time browsing and simply enjoying the store: it’s got a cozy charm that’s like catnip to book lovers. Their gift wrapping is always clean and beautiful too! Highly recommend for any book worms out there.

Visiting from out of state and fell in love with this store. There's a great selection of books, book themed gifts, and other fun goodies. The staff was super friendly and helpful with learning more about the community. This stop will be a regular for me when I come to town.

They carry a lot of new/popular books as well as some older/classics! I absolutely love this place as a local and I buy a book about once a month and will always choose this over places like Walmart/target.

BookPeople! Another Moscow downtown staple. This independent bookstore is 50 years in the making! It's so warm and inviting. The staff is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about books and recommendations. I can order anything I'd like to read if I can't find it in stock and they call a few days later for me to pick up. Their children's section has amazing selections. My 8-yr-old jumps for joy when I suggest going there.
