I set an appointment with an appraiser to discuss my property valuation for 2023. I found the appraiser to be knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I came to realize that the problem is our government spending too much not that they are assessing my property too high. The levy will be set as required to generate the tax dollars to fund their spending. This is one case where I felt the bureaucrat in the assessor’s office was doing what is required to comply with the statutes enacted by the legislature. It seems to me that the government and schools need to spend less and be accountable for what they spend. I want to attend the budget meetings for the county and school district in August so I can be part of the solution

Bonneville county is a veridical 💩show. On the Idaho website it says that no appointment is required to meet with the country clerk, but they refused to let me see them without an appointment.
They couldn't fit me in in the same day either which is an enormous hassle because I come from out of state. Huge inconvenience. Don't trust them to do anything right.
