I have not been here in years. I thought I’d stop by to see how the window wash buckets and paper towels are at the fuel stations, the restrooms, and all of the driver accoutrements. The restroom was okay, as were the store aisles and the products. It appears they do some decent cleaning. I did notice the restaurant was busy, and maybe if I’m out this way again, I give it a try as the menu items look good.

I could tell it was being run by new owners, and I can’t say if there is a positive or negative change overall. It wasn’t one of those places you would pick over other places like Pilot/Flying J, Loves, Maverik…etc.

It’s convenient as it is directly off of the freeway and is pretty easy to get in and out of. You just have to pay attention to the signage. I was going to take some pictures, but I left my phone in the vehicle and only snapped a quick shot through the window of the marquee.

I wouldn’t get gas here as the prices are cheaper at stations in both directions. Maybe the owners need to look at the Gas Buddy app to keep up with the local competition.

It was a nice change to spend time in an actual truckstop, not a travel center.
The showers were very spacious, and the one I was in had a shower and a separate bathtub.
There was a nice movie theatre/lounge area.
The restaurant was very good, the portion size was huge! And the staff were very pleasant.
Some areas are a little dated, but overall, we weren't disappointed.
We don't get up this way very often anymore, but if we do, we will definitely be back.

This is a great place to eat at. I came here because I’ve always seen it and wanted to stop. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. It’s a large sized piece of meat. They serve it out on a platter sized plate and between the chicken fried steak and the sides, it fills up the whole plate. This meal could be easily be for two people. The gravy is hot and very flavorful, country style so it has little bits of sausage here and there. The meal is $20 so it’s a little more on the pricy side, but if you like chicken fried steak it’s a must. The other people I was with ordered the pastrami sandwiches, those were very good. Full of meat and sauerkraut. The very good grub. There are many spots to sit and maybe not enough staff for when the place gets real busy. Our meal here took just over than hour. So if you are looking for a quick stop for a bite, you may be a little disappointed. However, if you want a little rest before continuing your journey, this is an ideal watering hole. Very old fashion looking inside which gives the place a lot of character. Overall, I recommend the Boise Stage Stop.

Restaurant is closed by 1030pm. This place was nice. Now it's really dropped the ball. Restaurant is OK, but super expensive. The parking is the only good thing. Restaurant closes about 1030. That's what I was told by the clerk tonight, but he did offer the food in the display case 2 for the price of one.... it was hours old the fried chicken was really nasty looking.

Boise Stage Stop use to be one of my favorite truck stops. They have go downhill for about 2 years now. The restrooms are not as clean as they use to be. Not sure about the showers now. The food prices have skyrocketed, yes even for this economy, and the quality of food has gone downhill as well. Great for trucking parking but I don’t even do that now.

Use to love coming here. The atmosphere has changed over the past year. I have talked to multiple employees here that are not "Indian" and they told me the same story, things are getting worse from the previous ownership. As a trucker I will stand up and say it has gone down a bit, cleanliness isn't what it use to be, food is still good fortunately, the interior and exterior looking more run down than before. Sad to see such an iconic place fall into the hands of someone who doesn't care or has no care about the place other than money. Truckers will let you know when you step out of line and I think I hear more complaints than no complaints.

When they write on their coffee cups quality food, generous portions, they are not lying one bit!! Our meal was nothing less than outstanding!!! When you think about these truckers out here on the road, away from their families,it makes it a little bit more manageable being away from mama’s home cookin!
