Just moved in and my husband and I are in heaven. While we always had timely communication with the office, they are a little understaffed. Nonetheless I had a few minor service requests upon moving in that have either been addressed already or will be soon. The town is lovely and locals are so welcoming. Views, as expected, are fabulous and there is access to trails all over; no car ride needed. All the restaurants weā€™ve tried thus far have been nothing but amazing. Really excited to see what the next year brings. We highly recommend this place. Just make sure you do your research before moving here and you will be better prepared for most things people have issue with when living in a small town. Amazon outsources deliveries (I.e UPS, etc) and I have gotten most packages delivered to my door thanks to the help of the post office staff, who advised me on how to set up my addresses for deliveries to avoid any issues.
Setting up a PO Box was super easy. Just know that if the person who lived in the apartment before you did not cancel their PO Box, you will have to pay for one and it wonā€™t be free. That was not the case for us but, be advised.

The office and on sight management/maintenance are absolutely UNREACHABLE! Iā€™m currently in the emergency maintenance hotline and have been waiting 25 minutes. Not to mention they only have about half as many parking spaces as apartments. The parking is never snow plowed and often extremely icy so good luck leaving to go to work. All the apartments have water damage so the floors creak or the paint bubbles and explodes in the bathrooms. I wouldnā€™t move to this overpriced piece of junk if my life depended on it. If thereā€™s any review you can believe and listen to please make it this one.

Donā€™t be fooled by the more ā€œaffordableā€ rent(if you could even call it that up here); you probably DONT want to move here.
Since moving in March we have had nothing but problems with other tenants, maintenance, and a front office that will do everything in their power to avoid helping you. The apartment was filthy when moving in, and we were ā€œreimbursedā€ the cleaning fee which was $20(I know theyā€™ll try to charge more for cleaning once we leave, but donā€™t worry, we kept receipts for our records). They will NOT resolve any issues involving other tenants unless you go take care of it yourself, or unless something horrible happens where they have no option but to intervene. We have had multiple maintenance orders ignored, so we started taking care of problems ourself. The parking lot and pathways to each unit are also not maintained in the winter time. Get ready for an icy parking lot, and stairs that arenā€™t maintained for snow and ice conditions. I have never seen such negligence from an apartment complex. If we werenā€™t tied to a year lease, we would have been gone months ago. I have plenty more to say, but I recommended AVOIDING THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. If you can, just spend the extra couple hundred dollars a month elsewhere. They will definitely care more.

Our experience as tenants coming from a different state was very stressful. The leasing agent (Shanyse) often lied and misled us. She often said that she would call us back and did not. We felt very uneasy about signing the lease. She never told us that the first unit #117 was on the third floor until we inquired/asked if
there was an elevator. She then waited patiently for our arrival for the lease signing and all payments. Next the unit that we thought we were moving into #107 surprisingly was not the one that we were promised. Unit #106 was not clean and there are several repairs that need to be completed. We requested repeatedly to speak to her manager and or someone higher up. But she is the only one that eventually called us back. She again lied to us about the internet installation and also about a moving in check list sheet/ walk through. We were also told that no animals were allowed and there are lots of animals here. We have very serious allergies/disabilities and would have not chosen to move here if we had been told the truth. We should treat others like we want to be treated and sadly we believe that we are being taken advantage of..

We request to speak to someone higher up regarding our unique situation

Bighorn Crossing Apartments: These apartments look nice when you first move in but they are cheaply made. Cracks in the floors, walls & ceilings. Never enough parking. No HVAC, they have heaters in the rooms, but running them will cost you. Washer and Dryer never work properly and take forever to dry. Have to use a step latter to reach the microwave & it very hard to get clothes out of the washer. Beautiful community & river behind the apartments

Mold
Unfinished But prime shelter location for sure. You get wood over head and rules. Like an overpriced camp for big kids.
Monitor tenants via Latch app. Refuse to allow a physical key. Not once have i had a working dryer.
Landlady sends her hood of county paid off police to threaten. I watch the flooded apt mold water be dumped into clear creek then
My babysitter caught the police using latch to break into my unit.
Recording cameras in the bathroom fans!
On film two times. A former cop lived in this when sitter noticed camera under fan. . . PD dept from every city in clear creek showed up with tasers pointed at the sitter- and dog.

This was June a week after they murder the 22 yr old. In silver plume

Bighorn crossing is a nightmare you do not want to live here. They advertise themselves as ā€œluxuryā€ apartments but they are anything but that. The appliances (dishwasher, sinks, shower, oven) are horrible and cheap and donā€™t work most of the time. If you make a maintenance request for something to be fixed it will take weeks or months for them to fix it for you. The staff that works for Bighorn crossing feels nonexistent because they do not answer the phone and do not help you. You would think for the rent being so expensive something would be good or work well but it doesnā€™t

Wasnā€™t given a key, and the ā€œfancyā€ latch key access thing died twice while I was there and there was no way to contact the ā€œemergencyā€ maintenance number reliably.
It flooded from the apartment above twice and both times the maintenance guy didnā€™t even show up to check on it ever and just put non reproducible on the maintenance docs, I have/had video proof of just water pouring in from the ceiling. Still nothing was done, thereā€™s probably tons of black mold everywhere (there definitely was plenty of other black colored mold), as they didnā€™t clean the mess and neither did I. Still to this day have no idea why or what caused it.
Honestly, most of my bad experiences came from the maintenance guy, although the office did try to terminate my lease a day early and I had to call to be able to pay even though it was before the deadline. I never forgot that one either. Very emotionally draining and extremely stressful and I didnā€™t even get an apology.
Our back sliding door exploded overnight while my roommate and I were asleep and cracked. It took them over 6 months to fix that as the door was on ā€œback orderā€ for that long. They didnā€™t make us pay for it which I was dreading/expecting.
Honestly just a very stressful and confusing time. I know this isnā€™t on the apartment complex itself but the upstairs neighbors had a fascination with what I can only assume was dragging furniture at 1am, 2 am, and 4 am most nights.
Oh, and I almost forgot the weirdest part the light switches were leaking as well, maybe it was just my specific bottom floor apartment. But it was genuinely very weird
I did somehow get most of my deposit back though, so two stars.
