Positive: The hotel is clean and ideally situated for seeing California City and the nearby Red Rock State Park. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with eggs and bacon as well as waffles, cereal, etc. Top quality. Negative: The Best Western is the best location in California City, which is a weird place with little to offer. There are many empty streets, vacant lots, abandoned structures, and strange sights. I liked it and I plan to return!

The lifts were broken so we had to lug our bags up stairs. The helpful receptionist assisted us though. The room had a very tired carpet and sofa bed with stains on (which I was told was like sleeping on a bed of nails). The bathroom was nice though. I was erroneously checked out of the room as the hotel thought I was part of a large early-leaving party. I hear others speak to the desk about the same thing. Very poor. Serves one of the best complimentary breakfasts we had on our road trip. Fruit, eggs 2 ways, waffles and good cereal options. Overall could do with an update but options are limited in Cal City

Overall I spent 20 days there for business. It was a great experience and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Quick to address any issues or concerns. My only complaint was the daily pet fee, cause that added up quite a bit. The room was well kept and well stocked with necessities. Would recommend if you are in the area and need a place to stay. Breakfast was great also, but there ended up being a higher number of guests and they ran low on items a couple times, however quick to restock for next morning.

Stayed here for Wasteland Weekend (though I recommend you camp to immerse yourself in the event).
The hotel is a gem in the otherwise rather barren California City. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and I loved the waffle iron and pancake printer they have for breakfast
The only thing I found lacking was that the tvs are not smart tvs so your only option is cable or connecting your laptop.
Overall impressed by the comfort and quality I found out in California City. It’s the only hotel there but it is fortunately a great one!
Plus I found the staff to be welcoming and attentive.
P.S. When I stayed the front door was broken and slammed really hard. It’s heavy so careful with your fingers or they may get crushed as mine did.

I stayed here a couple years ago, and as a long time resident of California City, I was very impressed. Hopefully you keep the breakfast available, because it was delicious. I'll definitely revisit.*

Very quiet here, which i liked. It is a few miles from the main highway. Good breakfast!

Nice and clean with good amenities. The steer was broken when I stayed and the staff offered to dry any clothes in their big industrial dryer for free, which was nice.

The best hotel in the area. Lot’s of breakfast food. Coffee and juice 24/7. Quiet corner of the city. Overall satisfied can’t complain.
