My favorite bookstore in Sacramento by far. The people who work there are friendly, the books are affordable and in good condition and the staff recommendations are always fun to read. They also sell some stationary items like Leuchtturm notebooks.

"Huge volume", or "amazing real estate" doesn't begin to describe this bookstore. It's all that and it's the detail—well-curated by experienced staff. Phone ahead to make an appointment to bring in books for trade or cash. Give yourself at least an half an hour to come in and browse.

I love this bookstore. This is my book store to visit when I need a book fix. The selections are always nice and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend anyone looking for a bookstore to give this place a try.

I really loved the vibe of the store, but all the books I was interested in were more expensive than if I’d just ordered it new. I love to buy second hand, but not if it’s more expensive, so I ended up not getting anything 🙁

Beers books is nothing short of amazing, magic is held within those walls. Pictured below is just a few of the gems I’ve gotten from beers… truly there is no point in going to any other bookstore if you live in Sacramento. A seemingly endless variety of literature.
But wait… there’s more amazing qualities; The staff! The people who work here are always so kind and helpful, legit the type of people who makes finding ones next book a joy.

Have loved Beers Books for years. The old place was cozy, but the new location has more space, which means more potential! The kids section was always nice but is now incredible, and storewide, it seems easier to find the section I’m looking for in the new space.
The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. They have quite a selection of New books at competitive pricing to BigName bookshops and their used books are generally a great deal for whatever shape they’re in. They also get some really cool collectible stuff!
