On the positive side, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. However, this hotel is obviously owned/managed by people that don't really know how to run a business. Their site says the rooms were recently renovated. I believe ours was one of those rooms. There are just a whole host of items that were done improperly or not smart. For instance...our sink only had hot water, the shower had shampoo but not soap, there was nothing to hold the soap bar on the sink so it would slip into the sink, and, most importantly, they have 2 light switches by the door. One of the switches, we found out later, controls the frig. So all of the food we brought with us for multiple days of meals was ruined because when we went to sleep we turned off the 2 switches by the door and the frig was off for a day. When I explained the issue to the first staff member she was very apologetic and said that the day before she discussed with the owner whether they should have signs so people knew about the switches. (No Duh - of course you should have a sign). The second staff member I told this to when we checked out was also apologetic. However, neither of them made any effort to make amends for the food we lost of which the cost was not insignificant.

The Baymont in Monte Vista is THE place to stay! The bed was so comfortable and pillows very plush and soft. So many excellent amenities including deluxe toiletries, light up mirrors, and a desk and sitting chair. I was greeted warmly by Damon when I arrived and had a delicious breakfast in the morning with excellent service from Eric. Oh ,did I mention the warm indoor pool and hot tub?! I will definitely make this my go to in the future. Thank you for a great stay!

The room and entire building was meticulously clean. I swam laps in the pool both nights and went in the hot tub. The water was clean and perfect temperature and the whole pool area was clean and organized and I noticed lots of fun and thoughtful things like pool noodles and arm floaties and beach balls. There was nice indoor/outdoor carpeting in the pool area which I really liked rather than standard cold tile floor. The room was spotless with an excessive amount of towels that I love! Comfy bed with lots of extra pillows. It’s on a main road so there is some road noise from traffic but I sleep with earplugs anyway so not bothersome. All of the employees were so nice and responsive but I mostly saw Bree who was so friendly and helpful and I really love when someone really takes pride in their job and is the best they can be in whatever role that is! What a breath of fresh air from the minute I walked into the lobby to check in

Very clean rooms and helpful staff. Making your stay comfortable and stressful free. This is my go to place to stay when I come into town. Friendly and helpful staff is great. Could use another ice machine on the other side of the hotel but I'm sure it will be a matter of time before there is one at the convenience of the renovations. Every time is a wonderful stay and experience. Thank you staff.

Excellent hotel on HWY 160 in Monte Vista. Very recently renovated rooms with comfy beds and walk-in showers even in a room with two queen beds! Super friendly staff and excellent breakfast (hot and cold) selection for a value hotel. Did not use the pool but it appeared well maintained and kid-friendly. And free cookies and water on check-in. I think you will be pleased.

I recommend contacting the hotel directly if you are traveling with pets as the website information regarding pets is contradictory: The website lists the facility as pet-friendly and I disclosed a pet on my reservation information, but the online check in form clearly states that pets are not allowed at the facility, carrying a $250 cleaning fee penalty if a pet is brought onsite. Not seeing this until the day before arrival was confusing and stressful.

The hotel had everything we needed. Our room was very clean and included a microwave and a mini-fridge. The hotel was very quiet and well kept. There was an on-site guest laundry. Breakfast was good. There is a grocery store just a couple minutes away.

The only reason I gave"rooms" 4 stars and not five is because the shower has no door,it's just open so you can't get any steam built up.Other than that everything was fine.It does cost 5 bucks each for the washer and dryer which I thought was a little steep considering most laundry mats are between $2.50-$3.50.Think there's only 3 hotels here and I haven't tried the other places but I will review them as well.All around a pleasent stay it was clean and the staff was cheerful I just wish they didn't roll up the streets at like 8:00! Haha
