This place is such a wonderful place. The staff knows their stuff, they go above a beyond to help you find the book you are looking for. I went in for a decorative copy of Dracula, I have several very loved copies but wanted a display copy. The man at the cash register took time to show me the ones he had and I found a great one. I returned later for the Frankenstein version and he mentioned he'd seen an even cooler looking one. Special ordered it and had it within a week. Highly recommend checking these guys out for any of your book needs.

Basecamp is my go-to for hours of browsing... they have a huge selection of used books, solid options for new titles, and the ability to special order books that they don't have in stock. Their science fiction and fantasy selections are particularly impressive. The location has been a staple in the community for years (previously Hooked on Books), and because they have built so many wonderful relationships with the bookish community here, they're always getting fresh stock in via donations or trade-ins. If you're decluttering your bookshelf, you can receive trade credit to be applied to a portion of your used book purchases. The owners are fabulous, and there's always something new to find!

It's a wonderful used bookstore. I've been coming here for a few years. Joe (owner) has put a lot of heart and soul into it this past year. Book prices are reasonable, good selection especially the mystery section.

Wonderful bookstore packed with stories. More than reasonable prices with a nice mix of used and new books. Great deals on certain categories as well as 10% off new books also. Aisles are tight but that just means more books to browse! Friendly staff as well of course.

Love the selection of books and convenience of this store. However, ever since the new owners took over and it became Basecamp, customer service has taken a total dive. It isn’t hard to acknowledge people when they come in the door or talk to them like paying customers instead of acting inconvenienced they have to interact with the public or service customers. It’s a shame because I want to patronize local businesses and prefer to buy used books, but the folks that regularly staff the shop are a deterrent to dropping in or wanting to splurge.

What really sets Basecamp Books apart is their unique book selection. Whether you’re into rare finds, the latest bestsellers, or something in between, their curated collection has something for everyone.

They have a great selection of children’s books both new and old and my son has loved every book we’ve purchased. They also have a great inventory, making sure it’s not just diverse but also engaging for readers of all ages.

Basecamp Books offers great value, making it easy to indulge in a new or used book (or two!) without breaking the bank.

If you're looking for a local, small business bookstore to support where you can have an excellent browsing experience and leave with a smile—and a great read—Basecamp Books is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Good selection, but a little pricey considering they're mostly used books. Not all books have price labels, so we got hit with $47 for 5 books, none of them were new. There are plenty of other bookstores with better prices for used books. Sadly I can't recommend it.
