Our family love visiting here whenever we go dining in San Mateo downtown, and everyone gets to find something to bring home with. They have very extensive collection of all the genre you can think of. The owner is pretty laid back and friendly, you can just get lost in the piles of books for as long as you wish. A must visit for book lovers!

A piece of the old world right here in downtown San mateo! It was a wonderful experience visiting and buying from B Street books. They have a large collection of titles from different genres at affordable prices. I was able to pick up some great graphic novels in excellent condition from here!

Great used bookstore! The owner and staff are very knowledgeable, and they have many books in a large range of topics and categories. They also have a well-curated collection of vintage, antique, and collectible books. If you are looking for something specific that they do not have, they may be able to procure it for you. Take a few minutes to chat with the staff before paying - when they know what you like, they are often able to direct you to books you may not have seen or in places you may not have looked.
