There are so many different types of art supplies available and neatly placed around the store. The atmosphere is very calm and pleasant. I loved the kind lady that helped us check out and find what we needed. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool place to find things for their artwork!

The staff is super-friendly, very talented and take the time to really ensure you get the best frame that will fit will with the art and that you are happy. Love this place. Had 1 picture done and when I picked it up, I brought 6 more in to be framed!

Great selection of paint, markers, canvases, pencils, paper, and lots more art supplies and miscellaneous hardware and neat gadgets. Wide selection of framing and amazing work every single time Wonderful owner and cheery, happy staff.

edit: cannot overstate the helpfulness and love of art the staff possess. my sister is an artist and used to come here all the time for supplies. they knew her by name, and we're excited every time we brought something in to be framed. have a convo with these folks it'll make you want to be friends with them.

Really pleasantly surprised by the product selection and extensive inventory. For a small store they really carry a lot of supplies across a great variety of mediums. Ran all over Montrose and Durango looking for painting glaze before I had the good sense to stop in here and not only did they have it in stock, but they had more than 1 variety to choose from! They also had a neat little section of paint markers, including a brand that I’ve never even heard of before. I’ve been using paint markers for years and never before have I encountered Posca, but I scooped up a couple and they’re top of the line. I’ll definitely be back for more. Got into a conversation with the clerk (Kristen, according to the name on my receipt) about paint markers, and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful by offering some tips about how to get them started on first use. I live in Silverton so I don’t get to shop in Durango all the time and I’ve become somewhat accustomed to ordering most of my supplies online but since having such a great experience here in terms of product and customer service I’ll definitely make a point of returning in the future. More than happy to spend my money locally and really impressed with the experience here. Great store.

Awesome store - the selection may be small, but it's all quality. If there's anything you need that they don't carry, they're amazingly nice with special orders. And if you're lucky enough to be there when the owner's in, don't be surprised to find him right there with a smile, easy friendly conversation, and a general way of making you feel like you're a valuable person in his store ... even when you're broke and have come in for that one prismacolor stick you've been dying to replace.

Nice store. Little bit of everything. The young lady at the counter was very nice and very helpful. We were looking for specialty papers and they didn't have them, but she offered many suggestions. Great conversation. Very sweet to my mother.

I often have to find certain types of art supplies within Durango, and while basic office supplies could do the job, Art Supply House offers more. I have not used their framing services (yet) but I wholeheartedly recommend the selection of art supplies. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about the stock. I really like the new inclusion of the desk with art supplies and paper that lets you try the merchandise before purchasing.
