I recently bought a ventilated mini 14 hand guard and was really excited to get it and put it on my gun only to find that the color of the wood is much brighter on one side and much darker on the other and doesn't match at all, and the overall fit is poor. The hand guard sticks out about 1/10th of an inch over the stock on both sides of the rifle, is a bit uncomfortable in the hand and the poor fit just ruins the whole look of the rifle. I understand that it's hard to match the color of wood perfectly and the fit won't be perfect, but for the 115$ I paid for it I was expecting a lot better quality and overall fit and finish. Id be happy to re write my review if customer service reaches out to me and we can figure out a resolution.

Edit it's been 6 months and customer service has yet to reach out to me regarding the poor quality of their product

I purchased a new gas block and harmonic stabilizer for my Mini14. I installed it with ease after talking to Carl on the phone and he took the time to walk me through a couple questions I had. I also purchased the new upgraded spring and buffer blocks. It all went together as advertised and I took the rifle to the range. Historically the rifle was shooting all over the place. 3-4” groups as if I was shooting with my eyes closed.

I used some cheap ammo (62 gr PMC M855, 5.56) both before I added the new components and after I installed them to give an accurate before/after. On the range I first sighted my scope in at 100, then adjusted the gas block until it stove-piped, then backed it off to a nice brass ejection distance of about 5’.

My shot groups at 100 yards are down to about 1.5”-2” consistently. At 50 yards I can get 1” groups consistently. All this with the factory barrel (SN 582…).

Customer service is second to none in an industry that is notoriously difficult to get help in. Products are amazing and have improved my rifle beyond my expectations. I had not felt I was going to ever get this rifle to shoot well and I was proved wrong.

I actually dealt directly with Carl to get an adjustable gas block/ barrel stabilizer made for my 1994 manufactured Ruger mini-14.
I was really impressed with the FAST service and VERY high Quality of the parts they made and the completeness of the kit . Everything I needed was there including detailed instructions.
I then sent them my trigger assembly to be slicked up with the advanced service and they turned it around in 2 work days!

After looking at several options i picked accuracy systems, and I am confident they are the very best source to improve the performance of these type of rifles.

In April 2018 I bought a mini-30 to be my new deer hunting rifle. I knew the weapon system coming straight from the factory had some accuracy issues, so I found Accuracy Systems on line and started reading up on what they can do to increase the accuracy of the rifle. Although their website is a little hard to navigate and is definitely due for an update, I like what I read, choose what I thought were the best options regarding stock, barrel type/length, and muzzle brake, and decided to send it off to them.

They advised me upfront, the conversion will take a while but ensured me I would have it back before deer hunting season.

I never mailed a gun off before and they provided me with great instructions on how to ship with UPS, which made it easy. After shipping off my rifle in April I got it back in September. Although in my opinion this was a long time to wait for a rifle, it was well worth the wait.

The rifle they sent back was amazing and when I finally took it out to the range, I realized the wait and the money I spent, was well worth it. My rifle is spot on accurate at 300 yards, the semi-auto action allows me to fire a quick and accurate follow up shot if need be, and has almost no recoil.

If you own a Mini 14 or Mini 30 and want to see your weapon shoot at it's highest potential, then I highly recommend using Accuracy Systems.

This review is too long in coming. Carl and his son do excellent work. I gave them two old worn out Mini-14s to customize and they hit it out of the park. You can see one of them on the cover of their facebook page. They do outstanding work, and are by far the BEST Mini-14 smiths in the country!

Bought an adjustable gasblock mini 14 barrel strut. Paid $249.98 including shipping($19.99) from CO to KS. Upon recieving I was surprised that it was rather shiny and had more of a nickel boron look to it. I can't knock the quality of the product, would be a five star rating if it had been anywhere near a color match. I immediately called them to see about there return policy (as there website isn't the easiest to navigate nor did the link work to their return policy). The people I talked to seemed like good honest people no gripe there, but the response I got regarding the color match discrepancy was simply "well there's a picture on the website, you can return it for a 20% restocking fee, (cuz you know putting a 7oz. Bag back on a shelf is difficult.) or take store credit." Keep in mind there is no easy to find return policy on there website. Simply put i paid 249.98 plus return shipping of $9.00($10.99 cheaper than there shipping rate, same carrier) and got refunded $179.99. So basically it cost me around $60 for the pleasure of seeing in person that there ss barrel strut does not match the ss barrel of a mini 14...I ended up getting an accu- strut for $120.85 with an almost perfect color finish match. If color match considerations regarding ss don't apply I'd recommend them or choose black, if they do save yourself $60 and look elsewhere.
