Awful paper. Bought a copy today, their weekend paper. The B section is missing. They can't get their act together. I have many friends who have canceled their subscription. Glad I did so several years ago.

All newsprint is circling the drain, to include the daily senile, the day they restricted reading of articles to only the suckers that pay for it was the day the circling of the drain started

I generally like this paper, but there was a small religious magazine inside today's paper. Freedom of speech, I guess, but some want the freedom from seeing it.

This review breaks my heart because we truly want to support our local paper. We have received the daily sentinel for decades and the service has steadily declined over the last several years. It has become a stress in our daily life trying to keep the paper delivered with any consistency. We usually receive two to three papers a week and our subscription is for five. The paper is rolled up so tightly with rubber bands I can't open it up to read. Other times it is thrown on the ground after repeated requests it to put in the newspaper box. Recently we requested a hold on our paper because we were out of town and our neighbor was walking by only to find the paper was delivered three out of five times again. So frustrating and very unprofessional.

Where to start? I would give no starts if possible but I guess that is not an option. I went there to get a name change notice published. When my mother and I came the front desk girl lacked a welcoming demeanor and when my mom asked about the newspapers if they were free. She was short and then didn't even bother to say how much they were. This was our first time there and that was a great first impression...

Then after paying and doing everything they told me to do to get the affidavit of my notice being published a month went by and still nothing. I tried leaving a phone message and e-mail that till this date was never returned. I then received a noticed from the court saying my case would get dismissed if I did not file my affidavit soon.

I had been in clinicals and exams so I had not been able to go down in person. My husband was able to get off work to go get my affidavit. No apology about never reaching out to me but instead excuses about their third party platform being at fault.
During this interaction my husband had to repeat my last name a couple times to the employee. He then said you will have to help me out with that...so I guess this newspaper has not gotten the memo that we are in times of cultural sensitivity.

In conclusion I am not sure if this will do anything but I rather speak out than stay quiet. If I get the same result for speaking out than being quiet then it is what it is. Just thought there were educated people at this place. Sorry my last name is not Smith or something easier like that. Yet, my husband didn't request the commentary. Also, getting back to people is costumer service 101...not impressed specially with the first impression and the lack of friendliness and professionalism on the second encounter.

Have subscribd to the Daily Sentinel for 26 years, not to many issues until lately. Only get the paper for 5 days, every month is goes up by a few dollars, on a fixed income it has become an issue every month. I call every month and they let me suscribe for 3.00 a week, I can do that. One month I got a bill for 32.00 for 8 weeks, that is 4.00 a week, They tell me they can do nothing about it, makes no sence to me that it can't be fixed. If it continues, I will cancel my subscribtion and I enjoy the paper and want to support a local paper however thier billing practices is an issue
