What a cool thrift store! I come to Ft Collins about every 6 weeks from central WY and I will definitely be adding Eco-Thrift to my regular must stop list. The owners/ employees are awesome. Very friendly and easy going. The store it's self is well lit, prices seemed reasonable, it's well organized, and doesn't have any off putting smells. They have a cool room full of books too. Overall a really nice thrift shop and well worth the time to visit

Shopped here every month since May 2020.

Today, while shopping - The owner, Stacy Lee Koeckeritz:

1. Confronted me in the back book part of the shop. She spoke in a tone that expressed fear and anger. She said that I was just too "confusing" to "deal with." I have shopped here for 2 years, interviewed her previously, and bought over 300+ items + books. Pictures below.

2. Accused me of making false statements to store staff. Stated that I had "plenty of chances" to make up for things. It felt like more of a badly planned break up instead of a professional business owner handling an issue. I'm a customer, not an employee, ex, or criminal. She spoke to me as if I was the latter three.

3. Stacy has issue with me having bought gifts for staff last month...The gifts were only bought AFTER Eco-thrift staff had invited me to Funktional on Oct 23, 2022, for a birthday occasion. I missed that event. So, I bought gifts and a card to make up for it. Only on November 5th, 2022 was this listed as an "issue." Said issue was listed only by the owner. Stacy claimed that I did not know the staff enough to buy gifts.

Me + Eco thrift staff History: Birthday invite + 2 years of shopping (over 300+ items purchased) + missed birthday event + interviewed the owner about a mattress recycling program for the homeless + Eco-thrift staff have met my children, my mother, my friends, a couple of my dates, and 2 veterans that I served in Iraq with. All of whom will not be shopping there any longer.

++After buying the book in question. While I shopped at Funktional (in october), Stacy saw me there. Said she would have charged me more for the book. I asked how much she would have charged me for a book that I already bought. Random prices from $20 to $75 were stated. I disagreed, bought twice that amount in books, and then left.

The owner embarrassed me in front of company, yelled over me during conversation, admitted that she was "confused" about the details of her accusations, did not name who among her staff made accusations, physically removed items from my person without consent or warning, and basically accused me of theft (of a book that I bought 2 weeks prior, and even called to pick up when I left it at the store accidentally).

4. My final issue is that owner "banned" me from her store without making a report, without taking my information, and without calling police. Black male, 5'11, unarmed. If I ever went to someone I did not know, yelled over them, took things from their hands, and then cut them off during their side of talking. I probably wouldn't be here.

5. Best of luck to all. I politely abided with the store owners loud "demands" and then I left. Police report (info only) was filed today + I will be filing official complaints and reports with appropriate agencies and authorities. I am finding that I am not the only customer to be treated with such disrespect, dishonesty, and discourtesy. Will continue to file complaint in the face of slander, dishonest business practices, discrimination, and non-consensual contact.

Things are priced here WAY to high I saw some items priced much higher than they are listed on eBay. Like someone in the reviews said “If I wanted eBay prices I would go to eBay”. Absolutely ridiculous!

This place is awesome, don't miss the back yard where they have bike stuff, tools and garden supplies. Organized, clean, with great staff. One of my favorite places to go looking for fun finds.

What an amazing, well curated space. When I look for second hand clothes or furniture the staff is very helpful and kind. The store is well organized so I can find what I need. The environmental consciousness this store presents is very important to me!

I love Eco Thrift! It's a great place to find hidden treasures including vintage furniture, clothing, kitchenware, shoes, pet supplies, office supplies, art supplies, tools, and more. They are also very community-minded and have a community tool library with over 500 tools to borrow and they house a cool art collective called Rubble Art Collective. Highly recommend checking everything out at this Fort Collins thrift store. Also check out their other store Funktional that has more vintage and retro style clothing, jewelry and more.

Eco-thrift is the gem of Fort Collins thrift, reuse, and kindness. I bought my first couch here, nearly all of my dishware, and my favorite vintage pieces. The staff are compassionate, wonderful people, and it feels good knowing that my donations can help my neighbors.

Used to love this place but the prices have become hilariously high for a place that is not well curated and has lots of junk. Saw an old blender priced at $30 and a small broken mirror at $35. I actually laughed out loud multiple times when I was there because whoever is setting the prices is out of touch.
