I purchased my green cheek conure from this Petco a few weeks ago slightly weary on whether big companies sell birds that are friendly towards people. I made up my mind one night and went in to purchase the second bird I have ever owned. The employees were incredibly knowledgeable and kind, all of their birds were hand fed and people raised. And it was clear that the birds were being interacted with and handled quite often. That night when I got home, my bird was already snuggling up on my shoulder and letting me pet him. My bird is incredibly tame, gentle, rarely bites hard, and hardly ever squaks loud. I understand that this can be due to his natural personality, but the way a bird is raised and handled has a huge effect too. I highly suggest Petco as a place to purchase birds.

Horrible animal care at this Petco, many of their lizards looked sick or close to death and lots of animal enclosures were dirty, overcrowded, and lacked enrichment. Photos included

My son was wanting an Asian Forest Scorpion for his birthday and I was told by another Petco to reach out to this store to order. I spoke with Lucy and she offered to order the scorpion. With the holiday season, there was a few hiccups and cancelled orders, but Lucy did an amazing job of keeping me updated on what was going on and personally reached out to me when they finally arrived. Really excellent customer service on her part! The staff was also very friendly and the live animals appeared well taken care of. I'd highly recommend this store. Thanks for your diligence, Lucy! You're awesome!!!

I was panicking because my Ollie dog food order hadn't arrived yet, so I called Petco, knowing they carried frozen Ollie. Ryan answered all of my questions over the phone. I hurried over to Petco before they closed. As soon as I walked in, Scott was at the front register. I told him my dilemma. He looked up my order and grabbed it immediately! Sarah also helped in the whole process. They all worked together. I was so thankful! They're all so wonderful!

Also, last week I went in to Petco, complaining about my over abundance of snails. Nick was SO helpful! He said, "We just got these snail traps in!" I immediately bought one! 🙂 I'm excited to put it to work! I highly recommend this Petco! They're all so kind and caring!

I had a $7 off coupon for science diet and a 20% off coupon for Petco, that I received from Pikes Peak Humane Society, when I adopted my dog.
I bought some fish oil and the science diet lamb puppy food. Within a couple hours my dog threw it up. So I went back to exchange it for the sensitive stomach formula and return the fish oil. They wouldn’t honor the manufacturers coupon that I used towards the sensitive formula. The girl at the counter said, “we have to be able to scan the coupon”. I told her they took my coupons earlier in the day. I reached out to science diet and they said their coupon should have been honored on the exchange because ultimately, Petco will be reimbursed for the coupon.
So, I paid full price for the dog food while they get reimbursed for a discount they didn’t give me.

The vetco clinic staff is weirdly rude every single time I’ve gone. It’s really awkward when you have to watch them be rude to the people with an appointment before you too (it’s a very open space and shots are just done at a table). They are nice to the animals though and the shots are very affordable.
