I have had both positive and negative experiences with the services provided by Tri-Lakes Printing. My most recent experience was so negative, I felt the need to leave a review as a caveat emptor. I downloaded high quality images for a couple large prints (18”x24”) we wanted to display in our home. Each file was 300 dpi, and one was even 50MB in size, so I was confident they could print large. The images were not quite 3x4 ratio, so with the original file, I sent a PowerPoint file that showed how I wanted the image to be cropped. In my submission, I emphasized that I wanted the original file cropped and printed, because I knew PowerPoint degrades the image quality. When I received the print, first of all it was not cut to the size I had requested, so it didn’t fit in the frame we had. I went back in person to ask them to cut it to the right size. They begrudgingly cut it and made me feel like they were doing a big favor for me, since I could have cut it myself. It still didn’t fit properly in the frame after they cut it the second time, but we made do. The image was noticeably pixelated, which bothered me, since I thought I had sourced a high quality image. I suspected there may have been a misunderstanding and the PowerPoint version was printed by accident, so I went in person to explain. The person I was talking to seemed to become defensive, took a look at the file I submitted, and “confirmed” that that is just how that file quality prints. I felt disrespected and disappointed that I had spent so much money on a low quality print. I resigned that the file was just not good enough for large prints, until recently I went to a chain print shop and used the same file to print the same image even bigger (24”x36”), and it turned out crisp, bright, and not pixelated! It was also significantly cheaper, even though it was a bigger print! I attached pictures of the same portion of the two prints for comparison. I cannot recommend Tri-Lakes Printing, because, at least from my experiences with the employees I interacted with, the customer service is very poor.

These guys rock! Our small business absolutely relies on this small business for course notebooks & other materials needed to support 40-50 classes per year developing the aviation workforce. Easy to work with, professional, fairly priced, and they "own" any rare mistakes. Our partners & friends now for well over 15 years...we wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

I had a college assignment and this place helped me with it. They even held it till I was able to pick it up after the snow storm. I was greeted by the door as they held it open for me as I was in a wheelchair which I greatly appreciated. The people there were so nice. Highly recommend:)
