A must see. They have some incredible presses here and the staff was very friendly. They showed us around, and knew a lot of historically interesting stuff. The prints they make are very cool, and the shop itself is amazing as well. Lots of great books and stationery. Jasmine, the lady who helped me check out, was very kind and pointed me in the direction of everything I needed

Love this little shop. It has a ton of cool books in the front area, and a printing press with tons of art in the back of the store. The store clerk was kind enough to chat with me and give me a tour of the store, and tell me a little bit about the artist who hosts print press classes for the community and makes a majority of the art at the shop. I plan on stopping by again to pick up a book and some cool prints!

By and far one of the coolest places I went during my Denver weekend trip. This place is amazing for independently published books, BIPOC authors, and so much art. The art book’s section is fire. The non fiction second is awesome and labeled clearly based on topic. Everyone was friendly and even gave me a tour of the printshop in the back. It was so cool and the folks there were even showing imported art books from a recent convention they went to and brought back. So unique and such a great store if you’re downtown.

Shop at MATTER is a unique place, including a special variety of books, stationery, and art supplies and a cool design space. This independent, Black and woman-owned shop has been open since 2007. I highly recommend taking a look!

Metered parking is available.

The shop is located in what used to be a warehouse district. So, getting in and out of the door is doable but can be a little tricky. Watch your step!

I attended a poetry reading this evening and this bookshop, print shop, art studio, etc. etc. is such a dope space. The staff were welcoming and goodness did they have book recommendations. Highly recommend checking out their prints, which are also on plastered in the bathroom stalls. Just the BEST vibes.
