DOOMSTER IN THE HOUSE

I'm an OTR Truck Driver and Had a Delivery Due Before 4p.m. on September 7th, 2023. An Automobile Accident Near I-70 Caused a Major Wild Fire, Which in Turn, Delayed Me by Many Hours. When I Finally Made It to This Location, My Only Hopes Were That I Could Park Overnight and Be Unloaded in the a.m. I Spoke to a Gentleman Who was on Break, and Told Him Who I Was and If He Thought I Could Possibly Stay There Overnight. He Said I Should Talk to a Gentleman Named Doug and We Could Figure Out What to Do. I Met Up With Doug in His Office. He Said He Had Forklift Drivers That Hadn't Made It In to Work Yet Because of the Wild Fires. I Told Doug That I Totally Understood The Situation and Would Be More Than Happy to Spend the Night in My Truck and Wait Until The Morning to be Unloaded. Doug Turned to Me and Said "Slide Your Tandems Back, Park By Door 3 and I'll Unload You in 15 Minutes, 20 Minutes Tops". And He Did!!! After He Unloaded My Truck, He Told Me If I Needed to Get Some Rest Before I Moved On, I Could Park There Anyway and Head Out When I Was Ready. I Did Have to Head Out Right Away, But I Must Say, The Great Feeling I Had After Such a Long Day and Being Treated the Way Doug Treated Me, Was Something I Will Remember for a Very Long Time.
