One of the best values in Durango. Best of all no extra fees like Holiday inn. Awesome free hot breakfast, free parking, no pet fee , good pool and hot tub.

The staff in the breakfast area are top notch ; definitely 5 stars !!

Just a couple suggestions for continuous improvement. The A/C is required in the winter on the second floor. Totally works and is comfortable, just really really dries out the air. A window would save the hotel $$ and make the second or 3rd floor better.

They installed cheap laminate in the lobby… they will probably replace soon.

Someone called my direct old school room phone several hours after we checked in …around 10:00 , asking for my pet deposit. I said to put it on the card on file… she said she couldn’t do that; but I could give her my card # over the phone. (Possible scam?)

Had to wait over 30 minutes for our rooms to be ready. Front desk staff continued to check the computer, but it was still not ready. When asked if they ready again, the staff said no. We asked if there was a supervisor to speak with. She said there was no supervisor there. We asked her if she could call the housekeeping staff to get an update, she said, "I don't know how to find her". We explained we have a check in time that we would like them to respect just like we respect their checkout time. Again, I asked if she could get up and find out what the hold up is. She said, "I'm kind of irritated too, but I don't know what to do. If you want, you can leave your belongings and bags behind the desk if you have somewhere to go. We said, "No, that is not an option." Mind you, we reserved 3 rooms for 10 people. Finally, she got up and went to do something. She came back and said, "Rooms are ready, I found the housekeeper." Rhe house keeper walked with her to the desk and said the computer was not allowing them to update the readiness of the rooms, which had been done long ago. Poor communication and professionalism. The rooms however were clean and the hotel was nice for an overnight stay.

Stopped for one night. Very clean and comfortable. Free coffee. Receptionist was very kind and let me check in early.

Only downside was VERY bad Wi-Fi - which is inconvenient for remote work. The receptionists were helpful with troubleshooting, but the problem may have simply been the room was too far from the router for zoom calls. When I asked about the possibility of switching rooms to be closer to the router, the Manager came out expressing frustration that “they are not tech support” and instead provided me with tech supports phone number… the problem was never resolved.

Only issue was pool was cold and hot tub malfunctioned second night. But still decided to go with 5 because they were so awesome and nice and the hotel is amazing, you can tell they take pride in it. Thank you Durango Sleep In & Mainstays Suites!

If you are planning on visiting Durango, I highly recommend Sleep Inn. The room was really nice and the king-size bed was really comfortable. This Sleep Inn is newly built. The breakfast included with your stay was fresh hot and very enjoyable. Their business center is open 24 hours. The lobby was very welcoming with a large space for gathering. The staff were great hosts.

My stay at the Sleep Inn Mainstay in Durango CO was quiet and clean up until the complimentary breakfast. There was a certain attendant working who immediately made me feel uncomfortable. The hotel allows dogs, however for some reason he kept commenting on me having my dog sitting at the table next to me. The next morning I went down without my dog, as to not cause trouble but he then yelled at me for eating before sitting at my table. This is not how I should be treated as a guest.

Terrible stay, they charged me $250.00 bogus predatory fee. Also, I was in the pool half an hour before it closed and they shut off the lights while I was in there. Beds are hard hard and pillows too soft. Cleaning crew is rude and they look for bogus charges. Beware!

Great clean rooms. Front desk service could be better. Staff is text on the phone but have no courtesy of standing when approached. Shower is hot but water is super slow. I wish they would have bulk amenities instead of small bottles.
