Expensive, but a great place for high quality art supplies. While I love shopping for art supplies, I have on occasion felt as if the staff were too busy to bother with helping me. They will tell you where something is located, but never have I been asked about the project I'm buying the supplies FOR, or been offered an alternative that might be much better. If your going to charge premium prices, then I want the premium service, and expertise to go with it. Without that, your probably better off at the dollar store.

Over the years shopping at Meininger, every experience has been great. The first visit was well over 25 years ago. Generally, visit for fountain pens, bottles of fountain pen, and stationery. The former manager of the pen department, Lisa, was great. Patty, the current manager of the pen department, is fantastic. Patty is very knowledgeable about the products offered at the store and is very well informed about the industry/community as well. Anthony also has been just as great to work with as well. The value Meininger offers in being able to experience products and ask experts in person can not be matched or underestimated.

We love going in here! There's a wide variety of art materials and I always find what I'm looking for. I love that they have paper/matte boards out to test a lot of the supplies as well! Plus, they always make my dog feel like a local celebrity. My favorite art store in the area by far!

The staff is always so incredible. Every time I go in I’m met with people who are happy to be there and to help. I always end up wandering for like an hour at least, and am always checked on to make sure I’m all set. It’s not over-checking either where it could be annoying, it’s almost always right when I need it, or if I don’t, it’s always someone new checking in, so you’re constantly taken care of. Everyone works amazing as a team. Sometimes I’ll feel bad for asking for help with something and then deciding I don’t need it, but they never ever make you feel bad about needing something, having questions, or needing help. They make wonderful conversation and are always so knowledgeable and have extensive support for all needs. They’re gracious and kind. I love this place and the staff so much. I wish I had more money to go more often but I’d go bankrupt!

For Fountain Pens, HR Meiningers has the same prices as all other stores both online and brick and mortar, but always has a variety of employees who are incredibly knowledgeable and excellent at giving advice for those who are looking to fix their pens and get into the hobby.

This art store has a bit of everything, plus helpful staff. The young woman who rang me up was mindful of my order total and suggested a could save $5 by adding $3.50. That allowed me to justify a couple of more pens, increasing the value of my visit. WIN/WIN

Great art supply store. Enjoyed browsing their wide selection of papers and canvases. They had supplies for a lot of different mediums. We were thoroughly impressed during our visit.
