This beach exceeded my expectations. Came at a low tide and crossed the creek. Spent a few hours before noticing everyone disappeared where we were at down a ways. So we made our way back only to discover the creek actually was much deeper as the tide has come in. We made it in the nick of time as my kids had to wade through chest deep water. Lol was a experience for sure but a lesson learned. This beach is quite popular.

I am a local flying dress photographer for "Diamond Memories" in Eureka and I absolutely love shooting and spending time at Moonstone Beach. It is gorgeous and is often full of families and dogs. Lots of rocks to play on and caves to explore. You often see people repelling or surfing as well!

Beautiful, contrasting natural colors good for babies, kids, adults and elderly. Great mini river that comes through and it was joyful to see dogs &kids swimming in a safe zone away from the main body of water. Lovely sight seeing. Perfect getaway, good for weddings, not good for a sit down picnic on sand because it is very wet and has frequent high tides.

Easy access to the beach. Many people learn to rock climb and surf here. Little River flows to the ocean here. The stream migrates up and down the beach and may need to be crossed. Great sunset views. Lots of families and dogs. Can be hard to find parking and over crowded. Relatively small beach for the area. Great place to play volleyball for the beach is flat and deep.
