The most charming bookshop! The offering is vast and covers all topics. This is a used bookshop with a wonderful atmosphere and an open layout that makes it very inviting. The owners are two young ladies who have been best friends since high school and call themselves "the bookshop besties" in social media. They take turns covering the shop and they constantly bring interesting new books (in addition to the second hand books they buy from - or are donated by - the community), and add interesting book-related products. There are little tables and chairs to sit and enjoy a book all throughout the shop and outside right in front of the shop windows. The bookshop is located in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, a wonderful little American town. I highly recommend this shop!

A must visit when in Paso Robles! I found this bookstore through TikTok (@bookshopbesties) so when visiting a friend in San Luis Obispo I knew we had to swing by. Carla the co-owner and her husband were so welcoming and helpful. Also - cute dogs alert! The books are such a great deal and the bookstore is very charming. You can tell all of the love that goes into the renovations of the store and I’m proud to support a small local business. Excited to keep following this bookstore’s journey on social media!

This review is long overdue! Around two weeks ago, I took a friend to this bookstore that had come to visit me from SoCal. Both of us agreed that the vibes in this bookstore were so WELCOMING! The owner who was working in the front too was so helpful! We would walk up to her and ask her for suggestions and she knew exactly where everything was! It was nice to see how easily she talked with all the guests as she really stayed attentive to the customers that roamed the store.

I was offered a bookmark at the end of our visit since both my friend and I were going to write reviews, but I declined and told her I would write a review regardless!

This is exactly the energy a bookstore should have. Thank you for making another place I will now visit regularly!
