My family miss the old Sun Star! The news was always current, It was reasonably priced and carried news of interest that pertained to the outlying communities of Planada and Le Grand also. The only thing we miss are the obituaries. We cancelled it a month ago!. Regrets!

This is possibly the worst, most biased lying to the public rag in California, every day is the lies, the only truth is in the obituaries, they need to FIRE everyone, restart over, everyone involved with this paper should be ashamed of themselves

I used to think my high school newspaper sucked until I read articles written by those half-baked reporters employed by Merced Sun-Star. In fact, I think those losers at Merced Sun-Star have actually done more damage to journalism and they've set a new low to writing standard. It would be more appropriate if they call it "Merced Dead Star". Then again, what can you expect from a town that's pushing 25% unemployment? A large number of people in Merced don't even read or write English and are illegal. And what makes things more interesting is the deep corruption in the city government rules the city today. And Merced Sun-Star is part of this web of corruption. Welcome to Merced.

Merced Sun Star...where are the...no know address for this company. Just a web site that you have to subscribe to to get stories that don't have anything to do with Merced and the articles that should be there aren't there. Oh well, there goes a nother paper down the drain. Gotta go...see ya, not in the funny papers of the Merced Sun Star. HA.

Icky. Most locals cant stand the paper. Biased, hateful, makes you embarrassed to be associated with the town they are in.

Went there today to find the door locked. The door said, "by appointment only". I guess maybe next time I'll get my hair cut there. ?
