I suddenly started receiving a couple of magazines by mail that I never subscribed to. One of the publishers referred me to Subco as the originator of the subscription in order to have it cancelled. Although I suspected a big run around I reached out to Subco with my request and Ariel contacted me right away. She explained that as a magazine clearing house Subco does not initiate subscriptions and she provided the company who did. She also started the process to have the subscription cancelled with the other company and updated Subcos records to discontinue the mailings to me. I appreciate Ariel’s excellent customer service and follow through and the fact that Subco hires quality people like Ariel and gives them the tools to get their job done.

I am visually impaired and have no use for magazines but this company is sending me magazines I didn’t order. They never seem to answer their phone. Scammers.

Ariel with Subco just answered my letter asking about a subscription that I was confused about. Her response was thorough, well-researched, and provided me with all of the information that I needed. Nowadays, service like this is difficult to find!! I am so impressed and that’s why I’m leaving a review. Thank you Subco for such phenomenal customer service and hiring really excellent people like Ariel.

Franz went above and beyond my expectations with a problem I recently had with a possible unauthorized subscription of magazines situation. To my delight, not only did he find out that my identity was not compromised but he took additional steps to ensure that I would not be the subject of anymore questionable mailings. Nice to know that you have a responsible person working for you that feels the same way I feel when it comes to the security of your personal information. Great work Franz!

I was/is having the same problems as other people described. I got into a 2-year Seventeen magazine subscription and I have never in the past requested it. I first contacted Hearst, the publisher, and they referred me to this company (Hearst customer service, by the way, sucks.) I called them at the toll-free number on their website. I waited for about 15 minutes with 10 callers ahead of me. Once I spoke with a representative, she was extremely nice and explained to me why I got the subscription. Some company called Western Readers Service provided me with an "Introductory free subscription with no obligations during or after the subscription trial period." She confidently tells me I won't be charged. I will keep checking my bank statements and look out for a bill, which will be on their tab and not mine. All Subco does is receive requests to send out magazines, and not really related to the publisher. If you have this issue I suggest calling them directly, or e-mailing them. They CAN cancel it, and remove you from future mailing lists.

I emailed Subco to cancel an account of a family member with dementia who had been ordering & receiving multiple magazine subscriptions. I explained the situation and asked to have the account cancelled. The correspondence with Errold was prompt and went a step further to add the mailing address to their internal Do Not Mail List to prevent future orders. Super helpful in tracking down other subscriptions that had not been known yet. Great job!

I called Subco to find out why our company was receiving multiple magazine subscriptions that we had not requested. Angela was quick, courteous, and extremely helpful in tracking down the subscriptions and went the extra mile to notify the company that requested the subscriptions in our name that we were cancelling so that they would not try to reactivate them. Angela was amazing to work with and was beyond helpful even though I was not a paying customer. I appreciate the attention given to my inquiries.

I was directed to reach out to Subco by a magazine outlet (I had obtained a promotional subscription with after a purchase I had made).

The customer support representative I worked with, Michael, was helpful, taking the time to obtain some information from to address and resolve the issue. Additionally, his responses were polite and prompt.

True customer service is hard to come by and it was a pleasure to work with such a consummate professional. Support such as this should indeed be highlighted.
