We were walking main street, and we walked past this cafe, and we drawn in by the rich smell of espresso. However, we second guessed whether we should go in, and we're glad we did the best flat white I've ever had thus far, sooooo glad we went in expect us to always stop by whenever we're in the area!!

I was a regular but I will no longer go again last March. It was my birthday and My Husband got me a gift card for $50 because I love Palermo when I went to use it they said there was nothing on it so forget this place I won’t ever go there again and also please don’t ever buy a gift card there, unless you want to get scammed. They said they would help us out if we could find the receipt but I can’t find the receipt so I’m out $50. Thanks a lot great birthday.

People were nice. The food, however, was not.. The lemon bar had a strange stench to it. Almost like a wet dog. The lavender mocha and sea salt mocha could have been better. The heavy pour of flavoring made the drink taste horrible. Go some where else.

A nice place to sit and have a coffee. The atmosphere is very relaxed and they sell all sorts of little gifts for home, kitchen, and children. The Gelato is highly recommended. Thank you.

Palermo is a long standing fixture in downtown Ventura, and I've been visiting it for nearly 15 years. Creative artsy coffee beverages up front, a limited range of pastries and cakes in the middle, yielding to an extensive Gelato collection shining in a cooler like tasty jewels...and then an incense scented gift shop in back, offering everything from gift books to candles to seasonal figurines. It's just a joy to visit. I recommend the steamers.

THIS is definitely the place to go for in the area.

Friendly staff.

Sit on the outside patio for the breeze.

Sit inside if you love the smell of coffee ☕️

I tried the coconut, hazelnut and mocho Gelati this time around. Quite tasty. You can savor the lush mocha flavor. Tastes like real coffee.

The hazelnut is clustery... needs more cream in the mix to counter the powdery hazel.
Texture lesson: If you've ever put peanut butter in a blender with water to make a dipping sauce, you know what I'm talking about. You need to add more liquid to smooth it out.

Anyway, there is paid, metered parking all around. Pay at the pay station vibe.

It's a touch $$$$ pricy, but I like this place. I'll be back.
