What a delightful jewel on Balboa Island… I discovered OO&B a few years ago and make it a point to drop in every time I’m in Newport Beach. The products are delicious and high quality while the service from Matthew is on point. It’s nice to be remembered and offered a taste of the newest oils and vinegars every time I drop in. A culinary delight!!!

We have been going to OO&B and buying his beautiful Fine Olive Oils and Balsamic's for about 20 years now. Matthew was always so welcoming, kind and informative from the beginning and he is still exactly the same. We love going across the street after breakfast at Wilma's and doing some tasting's and then getting a few new bottles or restocking ones we have run out of or running low on. The Olive Oils and Balsamac's are really amazingly diverse and delicious.

This is the best olive oil and balsamic I've ever had. Amazing for coating pasta, dipping bread in, or cooking with. Highly recommend the Espresso Balsamic if you like something rich. Customer for life now.

Love this place! I stop by without fail every time I am in SoCal. The mission and lemon olive oil are staples in my kitchen. And their wide variety of balsamics are addictive. I have multiple bottles at all times. My favorite is the black cherry - perfect for salad dressing. I have also purchased online and sent gift sets to friends for various occasions. They are a huge hit every time! Thanks so much!

This is our go to spot for salad dressing grade olive oils and vinegars. The quality of the products is outstanding, so much so, that I only used olive oil, vinegar and a pinch of salt and pepper for almost any kind of salad and even used them in sandwiches.
We love getting the owner's recommendations on what olive oils and vinegars pair best together.
If we cannot make to the store in person we purchase them online.

I have always gotten my balsamic vinegar and olive oils in Scottsdale. They have friendly shops and are very nice to purchase from these shops. However, this shop on Balboa Island is owned by a very rude, impolite, controlling individual. He was so rude to me my family and I just turned around and left. There was no way I would purchase anything from this hot head! My son wanted to have a few words with the pipsqueak, but I said let's not let one individual ruin our day. Maybe it's time for his kids to take over his small business.
Update....4 weeks later. I just got home from my store Olive Gourmet in Glendale,Az. Excellent store, they have little sample cups by each bucket of the dozens of delicious balsamics and olive oils and allow you to sample what interests you without demanding your ID (which is what the owner at Olive Oil and Beyond did)
They have a website if you want to order a top rate product. I bought $60.00 worth of products and plan to do my Christmas shopping online at Olive Gourmet in Glendale, because they value customer service!
I will Never shop at this shop Olive Oil and Beyond in New Port. They can't stand giving out samples and unless you appear to be "well off" they are not very welcoming and avoid giving samples.

Owner was incredibly rude, to the point of physically leading me from the store for no reason. Pretended to shake my hand and lead me to the door while looking at merchandise. A very confusing and belittling experience for someone who was very interested in looking around and shopping for some Italian items. Definitely the strangest experience I’ve ever had in a professional setting. I don’t understand how sales are made from treating customers like this. It’s seems like I’m in the same boat as many other customers in these reviews.
