Hey there my fishing friends. I came by ECBT for the first time this morning. I was in town for a fishing trip to Lake Murray and heard about this “great” shop. I thought why not stop on by. The shop was nicely laid out with a pretty nice selection.

The issue sort of comes when it’s time to ask any questions about any of their products. I was set on buying a new setup for this trip and had always been told this is a “go to place”. Unfortunately it seemed the employees were very unenthusiastic about assisting anyone that wasn’t at the register. There were multiple employees. At any time ONE could have come over and offered some assistance. I watched as 3 different people picked up rods, showing interest, yet not one employee walked the five feet over to speak to us.

I read a lot of comments here about these guys being a “big help” but honestly I just found them to be unapproachable beyond paying and going. I gave them 2 stars because they were open at 5:30AM when I got there (which was pretty nice knowing the lake was opening before most other shops were)

Recently went in for some soft plastics and chatterbait BUT WHEN I TURNED AROUND TO PAY I SAW A WALL OF SWIM AND GLIDEBAITS AND GOT THIS INSANELY REAL LOOKING BLUEGILL SWIMBAIT AND CHECK OUT WHAT UR PRODUCED

I stopped by there today. I'm a beginner fishermen and I've been using two piece rods and wanted to buy a nice one piece rod and reel within my budget. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and helped me pick out the right rod and reel suited to my needs. I will return whenever I'm in the area.

We were travelling with my friend and we're looking for stuff to go fishing.

The staff in this shop is just awesome, they were really nice to us, even a customer helped us and spent lots of time explaining what to do to get a chance to catch a bass as we don't have them in Europe.

5 stars service !

If you love fishing this is the store for you. The staff makes you feel like family they are professional and do a amazing job. I shop here when I can. Yes I recommend them. You cab get poles rolls hooks bait. And anything for fishing I be back
