my friend and i were getting picked up from school and she passed our houses many times yet didn’t drop us off she took forever looking for the houses and is constantly on her phone. my friend lives 2 minutes away from school and she dropped him off last, we go to hutchinson middle school.

This is a good service for the community, however if you are looking for a limo ride and service think again. For the cost for a ride it is great! They do transport lots of kids to school and back to home but the wonderful school system doesn't have transportation for all students. Let's face it there are real jerks out there and if you and your spouse work you may not be allowed to drop off your kid sooner than a certain time. So don't blame this service... They do the best they can. Today you can take Uber or Lyft if you need a personal driver. Or take a taxi. So remember they have your love one in their hands.

You have to call at 6:30AM the day before and always wait 20-30 minutes to TRY and get a ride for the next day. They mostly serve to school students and it is very hard for the elderly and disabled to get a ride for doctor appointments or to get groceries or anyone needing a ride to work. They have very limited drivers. Not worth calling at 6:30AM the day before on hold for 30 minutes and not get a ride. Parents use the service to have their kids picked up for school because it's cheaper than a school bus.
Parent's buy pre-paid set week hours which blocks out anyone else needing the service because it's cheaper than school buses. So Dial-A-Ride is a school ?!

Yes it's convenient (when you can get a ride) but many of the operators can be very terse and don't want to do go just a LITTLE bit out of their way to get you a ride!

Great service and fun drivers! You must plan ahead for your ride needs. This is not an “Uber/Lyft” service where they will always have a driver waiting for your call, so don’t expect that level of care when your ride is $1.00 one-way. We utilize this service several times per week and appreciate that it’s available to us in La Mirada.
