Butterfat Books was a great treat to find in the heart of Ferndale. The woman working was knowledgeable about the town and helped direct us to a great pizza place down the road. They also had a selection of "mystery" books wrapped in brown paper that made gifts when we got home.

Best bookstore we have visited in years! It's small, but they have so many good titles. The owner is friendly too. $3 per used softback and $5 per used hardback. They also have new books and some great classics.

Good prices on paperbacks, But the amount of Christian literature was immediately noticeable, which was a bit off putting. Also some AI generated artwork on some items which just feels lazy. Won’t be visiting again.

I went here this week, I live in South Carolina and I was in vacation to see the redwood forest, this was my favorite store of all the ones I went into this week, the book store was so cozy, and I love the old books in there, I go one and I have been looking though it almost every day, and I got something for my boyfriend, the things you can get here are great, you can git books and journals and bookmarks, and just try cool stuff for you or someone else, I love it and I hope I can come back one day?
