This place is really cool. The owner is really cool and nice and funny. I bought my first ever gun from him and I’ll probably keep using this place and go to it till my last gun I’ll get . And the website is pretty good as well. And this place has good prices on ammo . I highly recommend.

Calvary Longrifles is owned by Jim Parker. Jim is a master builder and engraver of historically correct 18th century Long Rifle. Jim Parker also teaches excellent gun building classes for all skill levels. Jim Parker is also a license FFA distributor of modern fire arms. Calvary Longrifles is a great store to visit for your fire arms needs or to get set up for training to build your own 18th century or early 19th century longrifle.

Jim Parker sold me this rifle a few years back. He did not disclose that the barrel was cut and then stretched back to original length. I was new to gun collecting at the time and believe that Jim Parker took advantage of me. At the time, I asked Jim about the gun barrel. He told me that he was unaware of it being cut and stretched, as he didn't personally the gun, but was selling it for someone else. As an experienced gun dealer, Jim Parker should have be aware of what he is selling. I will never do business with him again and would warn other people to be careful in their business dealings with him.

Quite a guy and skilled long rifle builder. He and his wife were gracious hosting at their home and taking us to dinner later that week. New and novice builders will leave Jim's shop with more knowledge and skills than they arrived with.
