I've seen The Birds a million times. While visiting Bodega Bay I had to see this place. Private residence now but it was cool to see it.

Beautifully maintained. Nice to see in person after watching the movie “The Birds”. This is now a residence. Be respectful.

We enjoyed a quick visit to the Potter Schoolhouse, the location from the movie, "The Birds". It seems to now be the residence of a local family, so unfortunately, it's not possible to take a tour, but we enjoyed both seeing the house as well as the historical aspect, and with there being so much else to do in the Bodega Bay area, a quick stop at this location is just right.

The Birds!!!! This is one of the few iconic locations still surviving after the movie was filmed 61 years ago. The restaurant ...burned. The gas station...gone, The phone booth....gone. The pier where Tippy boards the dingy....gone. The house with the dock across the bay.....gone. There are still the descendants of the birds in Bodega Bay and Bodega, but they are somewhat less-menacing than their ancestors. They hardly even tried to pick out my eyeballs 🙁

Disappointed! It was a museum and gift shop the last time I was there. Now I believe it's a real school!
