I heard I might see a bear or mountain lion. I saw neither but really enjoyed the hike. I'd love to spend more time exploring the area, but the parking fee will limit my time on the trail. Seems expensive for such a short hike, I'm sure there's more to see, or they're trying to limit the number of people on the trail. I understand if it was becoming too popular.

Loved this hike. We didnโ€™t do the full way but it only took about 1.2 miles to get to the last reservoir

The hike was steep but short. Dog are not allowed on the trail. Fishing is only allowed on the upper Reservoir. I hiked up in the morning and spent the whole day up there. Set up a hammock and a fishing pole and enjoyed the day. Lots of wild life came through. Saw one fox and a couple large deer. Recommend coming up for the day. Parking is now $5.30 a day.

Climbed for 1 mile 600ft altitude gain, no boulders on the trail just many, many pebbles. After the 1st mile, the 2nd mile was leveled, no more climbing with great views of the reservoir, then 2 miles to come back. 3/4 of the trail was shaded. No mosquitoes. Loved it!

Parking is NOT FREE. It costs $5.30 for a day pass. We did the 4.1 mile out and back trail to the second reservoir. Pretty hard uphill climb for the first half up to the reservoir as itโ€™s 99% uphill the whole time. The first reservoir was frozen over which made for some fun rock throwing. The second reservoir water was so clear and blue! Tons of fish in it. There was almost no one on the trail which made it super peaceful. Definitely a beautiful trail with tons of connecting, more difficult trails that we didnโ€™t have time to explore.

1.5 miles out and 1.5 back, wide trail, goes up hill for about. 5 miles, then flat and downhill on the return. Was beautiful, quiet, saw maybe 5 people from start to finish. It's just peaceful and very well maintained.

*Also, for the ones with furry friends, no animals allowed on the trail. The lakes/ponds are for the people that live there, I belive its their driving water, a lot of signage that days do not go in, swim, fish etc.
