They have helped me solve a medical issue that has frustrated many a doctor and clinic/hospital.
Bonus: beautiful campus, great services, several uncrowded waiting rooms and wonderful staff. Plus a big parking lot sans pot holes.

PSMC corporate is destroying good Doctors. Under paid over worked is creating a terrible result. The small town family loving care is being replaced with how fast can you push patients through the door. Four years ago, a Very Good Dr. saved my father’s life through concerned and being completely thorough in his protocols. That no longer exists you’re treated like a cow being pushed through a stockyard. Answer the questions as quickly as you can make a diagnosis as fast as you can just so you can get to the next patient. My last visit was very routine, but like a cow being pushed through a stockyard things can be missed. This is not the doctor’s fault. This is coming directly from corporate so my review is not of the doctors and nurses that are being treated so poorly. My review is of the hideous Money grab corporate is implementing to the new PSMC.

Update: I truly believe that you never know who someone is in the best of times. You find out who someone is in the worst of times. Yes, everything that I said above Is still true, but how PSMC has responded in the worst of times Admonishes and removes all of the above said. I’m not sure that anyone would want me to mention their name But they know who they are And I have to tell you there was a team of people That contacted me, one in particular That was the light in the darkness she will be remembered! While we all wish everything would always Go perfectly this life that we live is not perfect. I’m going to have to change this review. To five stars and I am going to say one name in particular just because he is so incredibly special Dr. Jason Wallace is the best of the best!!! THANK YOU!

I have to have blood draws for my INR, sometimes on a weekly basis. The lab techs are simply the kindest, most professional employees I have ever encountered. I think that both of the lab tech deserve a raise, a promotion, and a vacation. I sure hope that Dawn and John are rewarded with your highest rewards.

My husband had a heart attack while we were visiting in Pagosa Springs, and this facility could not have been more responsive or helpful to us. The care there was immediate and thorough, and the doctors, nurses, emergency ambulance drivers, and administrators were so professional, caring, and wonderful. They took him by ambulance to Durango and he was operated on there. Thank you, Pagosa Springs Medical Center. You saved my husband’s life with your expert care. ♥️

On October 1, 2024 we went to the Emergency Department because my husband was experiencing chest pains. We were treated with kindness, respect, concern, and professionalism from the time the doors opened until they closed. A would like to recognize these three especially: Dr Velasquez, Nikki, and Tamsen! All are fantastic.

I came in for an injury to my foot. I was concerned it might be broken. I was in extreme pain. An -Ray was taken and I sat there waiting for the doctor for a bit and he finally showed up and told me the X-Ray revealed it wasn't broken, Them he massaged my foot in bizarre ways and pushed and prodded and asked me dumb ass questions like "Does this hurt?" I responded YES! very much I can't even put weight on it. He told me to ice it and not walk on it. Wow what a genius!!! He then asked if there was anything else I needed and I replied. Yes. How about some crutches and something for the pain. He then said... Oh! we have crutches, and I asked him "am I going to receive a 500 dollar bill from my insurance company?" and he looked slyly at me and said "I don't know" Probably ...chuckle chuckle. Oh ha ha! I said. Is there a place nearby where I can buy crutches for less than 500 Bucks ? and he told me Citymart would have them. So my wife helped me hobble to the exit where they directed me and I sat there whilst an ambulance blasted exhaust in my face as my wife navigated the car to that side of the building. We then went to city market who explained they only had crutches for short people in stock, and when we tried to fill the prescription for pain meds and we realized he had prescribed "Alleve" an "over the counter medication for headaches etc) I took some of this garbage and it effected my GI tract in a very negative way without relieving the pain enough for me to sleep. I just spent the next couple of days bedridden. Then, to add insult to injury, my insurance company billed me about $600 for the whole horrible experience. What an arrogant, out of touch doctor. I highly suggest people just "tough it out" and not deal with arrogant people like these... unless you completely cut a limb off or something 😉 Did this doctor, not prescribe pain meds because he thought I staged the whole thing?... perpously dropped a rock on my foot? My wife and I were going to snort the pills in the parking lot? What an un-empathetic prick!!! Go elsewhere folks... Drive to durandgo. Weak and lame service.

Dr. Andrew Buck

Today's visit with Dr. Buck was no different than any of my visits. Each and every interaction has been informative, understanding, reassuring and patient centric. His approach, manner, professionalism, makes one feel special and respected.
I also find Dr. Buck's patient approach and ability to connect most inclusive all of which fosters trust that in him, his diagnosis, treatments are is spot on and relevant to my condition and persona. Personally, the standard in Oncology demands a unique skill set, Dr. Buck has that in spades.
To sum up, I am very happy that I'm his patient.

I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful hospital and clinic. I’ve been coming a lot lately to figure out what’s happening with my health and I absolutely 💯 love every single person that I’ve met while there. The cafeteria is so much fun and really great food. They feed my soul too!

The health care professionals are so great at helping me and all people! I see it and have enjoyed every minute that I see in action! I want to personally thank Phil Zappone and Dr. Brown for being so supportive of my blight in finding out about my health issues. God bless you all and may God bless our America ❤️
