Walked in with my medical alert dog. Owner said “no dogs”, I advised she’s working. He said “but is she working now” I said yes. He served us, but then Walked over to his friends and started talking about me. My husband finished his drink and set it on the bar. No one acknowledged us again. Everywhere else in this town has been fantastic

Great place! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. The owner Brad was great, let me in on the town and told some really cool spots to ride.

The owner was the most unprofessional and rude person I’ve experienced in the service industry in a long time.

Menu available: Frozen White Castle Burgers , Crackerjack’s and Chips .
Bartender said if you wanna eat go somewhere else soon.

Tap beer available: 3 served warm

Nice Mahogany Bar , featuring a Pool Table in back and free to watch Smithsonian Tv Channel.

Bartender watching YouTube Videos and gossiping about the attitude of coworkers.

Place been open since 1970s , now a mere shadow of its former glory days.

Place have great potential for its location and interior square footage. Bottom line it needs a reset to survive.

I was told to babysit the bar as bartender had to smoke his American Spirit Menthol.
He said he didn’t trust the guest that came in , not because of their race , but because their past.

If you really have to go to satisfy your thirst, only drink bottle beers as they are cold , compared to warm tap beer , have 1 or 2 and leave and don’t come back !

This was the most awkward, awful exchange and experience I have had anywhere! The bartender was disinterested, completely rude and annoyed by us entering. He would not engage, or smile. He would not help with a selection. There was an awkward silence when we entered. Zero eye contact or nicety. Just stood in front of us waiting for an order. No music, or even jovial chatter from the two other tables. We even asked the guy if he was alright. He started blankly and said ‘sure’ and then walked away. He complained with profanity about the way his bar was set up when we asked for a particular bourbon. He went outside to smoke twice while we finished a cocktail. He sat and ate at the bar while we waited to pay. 1/2 of our party wouldn’t order drinks to push along our stay. We asked ‘when’s the live music’ that was paired on the door of the crypt we entered. ‘9’ he said and walked away. I doubt it. No way anyone would patronize this place intentionally. We are business owners in service and food and beverage and if this was an employee of ours he would have been fired without a blink. The life sucking environment, disgusting red carpet, filthy bathroom with curtains instead of doors should have been closed by the health department. F across the board. If your the owner and reading this, he never gave us his name, he was working on Tuesday night 9/12/23 at 8 pm.

Not a great experience if you’re looking for an old time saloon feel. Bartender is unprofessional and purchased muscle relaxers from a random person in front of us. No really.

Owner is unfortunately not very polite or understanding. Prefers to create problems rather than solve them. There are plenty of better bars in Ouray that don't have to deal with this.

This place is disgusting, beer was warm and stale and the bartender was incredibly disrespectful and rude to us the second we walked in the door. He tried to make one of us in our group buy a beer when all she was doing was watching her husband and son play pool (and they drank a beer). Then he was upset when the rest of our group walked in with four of our young adult children (older teenagers). He was extremely rude in telling us to leave by saying “out” with a wave of his thumb among other rude comments. So we all left but it was raining so we stood in the vestibule to decide where to go and he came out and again rudely told us that this was part of the bar and we need to leave. He could have done all of this kindly and being from the south, we would have obliged but he was so rude, mean and disrespectful to us. This place is a disgrace to a beautiful Colorado town.
