The shop and the old photos are amazing but the real treasure here is the owner Ken. He gave us a history lesson over an hour long complete with photo references and it was truly fascinating. He is walking history and the last of a breed from times past so if you get a chance to ask him some questions you will learn a lot. Super cool store and super cool dude go see him.

had the most fascinating conversation with Ken, a native to Creede, who was a miner for over 10 years. he was kind enough to answer some of my curious questions! absolutely worth stopping in! — stopped back a second time after completing the Underground Mine Museum and Last Chance Mine, and ended up talking to him for over an hour, gaining even more knowledge! i regret not recording our conversation, because passing these stories down orally, from someone who has actually lived it, is so important to preserve.

Ken & Cindy are a joy to be around. Ken was a miner and native of Creede. If you need to know anything, Ken’s your guy. The shop is full of mining memorabilia, and photos of days past. He has an extensive selection of minerals, artifacts, and old photos of Creede and mining. A fun way to step back in time and enjoys Ken’s stories.

Great shop with minerals from the Creede mines, tons of prints of the Creede history that is run by Ken a real Creede minor. Ken knows everything about the mines around Creede. I enjoyed learning from Ken and purchased several nice minerals from him. A must stop shop when you're in town.

I went there over 2 years ago and still can't stop thinking about it. I hope I get to go back and talk to the Owner Ken again. As a past miner, he knows more about the mining history of Creede probably more than anyone else in town! Not to mention, it's great for taking artsy photographs.

Very cool place. It’s more than a shop and more like a museum. Check out the wall of miner hard hats and old photos. Kent, the owner and former miner in Creede, is definitely the man to talk to about that miner’s life.
