This is a very nice library. There is so much to explore. Spent most of our time in the children's area, but the rest I did see seemed pretty extensive. The children's area is definitely cool, and there are so many different play, learning, and hanging out areas.

We have been going to the Loveland public library for years and have always had a great experience until today. The library was very crowded and loud today with everyone being n break for the holiday and my autistic son needed a break from all the people and noise. We went into the reading room in the children’s section which had signs stating it was to remain unlocked and absolutely no signs anywhere stating people were unwelcome or not to be in there outside of reading group times. My son sat in a chair quietly while his 1 and 3 year old brothers walked around the room and sat on the carpet. We had another family join us with their baby and we all had a nice time chatting and letting the kids interact. At no time did the children touch or disturb anything in the room. As we were packing up to leave a staff member came in and demand very rudely that we leave the room as it was reserved for reading group, but there was no group scheduled for the entire day. When we asked her where another dim and quiet room was for kiddos that needed a sensory break she said we could use the tween room. However, this room is brightly lit and had other older children in it. It did not offer a sensory break. She was extremely rude and dismissive. If you have kiddos that need a little extra love and support I no longer recommend this library. Instead go to the Fort Collins public library or the Estes library. They are more than happy to work with families and kiddos who need some extra support.

I used to love going to the Loveland library but it has become unsafe in my opinion.

Homeless are allowed to do whatever they want - including carrying weapons INSIDE the library.

Everyone, including staff and “security guards” refuse to say anything to them. I don’t feel safe letting my young children come here.

The parking lot has become a homeless encampment and there are cigarettes, alcohol bottles, and whatever else littered all around.

It’s a shame, this area used to be such a nice family place and it’s becoming the trashy and unsafe part of the area.

I enjoyed using this library last year when we first moved to Loveland but in just that short amount of time, the Library has become a homeless shelter, and I do not feel safe taking my young children here anymore. The homeless hang out all over the parking lot, in their trashed cars, on the grassy area, in front of the library, and inside the library, including the children's area. I have yet to see a police officer around here and definitely no staff makes any move to alleviate this issue.
Besides this, the city did not plan their budget properly, and they have seriously cut back on hours and services. What's the point in going to a library that's only open 4 hours a day and has no inter library loan system? In my opinion they should shut it down entirely. For my part, I will certainly not vote for additional funding for this library the way it's been run. I will be going to Fort Collins or even Boulder to use their library instead.

This is a great library and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Usually a quick turnaround when I place a hold for a book online to when it shows up. Unfortunately it really smells like cigarettes from all the unhoused that loiter around all day and they can be unruly at times and make it uncomfortable.

This is a beautiful facility whose level of service has been going downhill because Loveland tax revenues are drying up.

On the plus side the building is beautiful. There are ample computers in the computer lab and they offer 50 free double sided B&W or 10 double sided Color prints per week. You can sign on to a computer for two hours at a time, and then get additional time if there are machines available which is almost always the case.

On the minus side the hours are being reduced. The building serves as a homeless shelter for Loveland's enormous homeless population. They are generally well-behaved but they are permitted to talk at full voice levels and if you complain about the noise you will be asked to leave the facility.

I recommend using the Libby Library app to access ebooks and audiobooks without having to physically use the facility. Returns are done automatically and full texts can be downloaded to your phone or computer to listen or read offline. They are part of the Front Range consortium for a large selection of materials.

The tech librarians upstairs are very friendly and helpful, but not so for the regular librarians downstairs who seem exasperated by any question and generally are unfriendly to the public. It might be because like most American employees they are underpaid and overstressed. Another reason to rely on the App.

One of, if not the best library I have ever been to. Such a cool places for kids, teenagers and adults alike. Staff is wonderful and the community surrounding the place is amazing!

Library hours are being reduced even further. The hours were already inconvenient for any early birds, and starting soon they're reducing the hours further, opening even later in the morning! Closed on Sundays, as well.

Fort Collins libraries are open earlier and later. Why the difference?
