Finally took a full visit. Library has 3 floors but I would say that's still on the smaller side based on what you can do here. First floor has the resource materials (books, computers, CDs, etc). Second floor is the research/reading room. They have a lot of good books in here that I wish you could check out. Also keep in mind this area is open from 12-4 and doesn't go by library hours. The third floor has an exhibit of five points history and black people accomplished accolades in Colorado or are from Colorado. They even have an area where they play a short film on five points history. Being a transplant I really enjoyed the exhibit and actually learned some things.
I'm sure this is for a reason, but I wish they had more seating/working areas on not just the first floor. For me it was too many people and no room.
But a great library to learn some black history. Check it out

This library is horrible. The service is at least. It’s a nice place if you’re not gonna speak to anyone at the front desk. I had a family book distribution in one of the community rooms they wouldn’t let us in early although the room had NOBODY in it THE LIGHTS WERE OFF! And even after getting in I made them aware I would be playing a video and come to find out THE SOUND IN THE ROOM DOESNT EVEN WORK and nobody said anything to me prior they offered no solutions and just looked around lackadaisically as if I need to figure it out on my own completely ruining a whole segment of the book distribution I will never go to this library again just the worst service I have experienced at any library I’ve ever been too just horrible

I've only been in Denver for a couple of days. I went to the Central Location and everyone was phenomenal and it's a very nice facility. I came to the Blair-Caldwell location because the Central One is closed on Friday. The supervisor Jameka is either racially motivated or biased against the homeless, but when I asked for a study room she said none were available. The next non-Black and non-homeless person that came in, she was all of a sudden able to check for them and give them a study room. Jameka, your unprofessionalism shows and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Edit: The next day I went back because Central Library was closed again. Jameka not only opened the library a few minutes late, but she also had staff moving around the couches and chairs which resulted in me having to wait about 10 minutes to sit down. Yesterday, she told me there were no reservations for the study room, that they were first come first served. Like the patient person I am, I waited until the time that she said and she continues to let several people who come early in front of me.

I don't know how this woman is a supervisor. It's not against the law to discriminate against people based on their weight. I would certainly never hire someone to be in charge of people who can't even control what they put in their mouth. Jameka is the 1% when it comes to body weight, not intelligence.
