Dropped off 100 plus albums for them to quote a price. Gave a fair value and satisfied with my sale. Many of the albums are Promotional Stamped albums I purchased from a radio station around 35 years ago. Staff was friendly and helpful. Took a bit longer than expected for them to quote me a price but not crazy. Great Small business to support.

My son and I were trying to navigate to another record store but ended up here, and we’re glad we did. Very nice store with a great selection of just about everything, and a friendly staff. We found records we weren’t able to find at the much larger Denver stores and love the fact that they include plastic sleeves to protect your investment upon checkout. We’ll definitely be back!

To be clear, this review is not a reflection of the employee. It is a review of the owner.

I stopped into the store for the first time today. I’m looking for a vinyl cleaning system. They had a Vinyl Styl deep groove cleaning system priced at $55.75. I went home, researched the cleaning system online to make sure that it would work for my needs. I then returned four hours later and they refused to sell it to me. The employee called the owner and was told not to sell it. I’m not used to small businesses changing their mind about items when I want to make a purchase. The vinyl cleaner was displayed with all of the other vinyl cleaners. I can only imagine that the owner of the store does the same with vinyl. Sadly, I won’t be back for anything at this store in the future. I like to support small business and shop in-person, but cannot support this kind of behavior.

UPDATE TO OWNER’S RESPONSE: I was not provided an alternate price and was standing there when your employee called you. Whatever excuse that you’re providing is meaningless as I stated that I needed to do some research before purchasing. Therefore I could have been advised at that time that it wasn’t for sale. If an item is not for sale, put it away from the retail display. Any excuse is meaningless because I just purchased it elsewhere, online. And won’t come to your shop again to have you waste my time while you decide to change the price of items with a pricing label clearly displayed. You could have honored the price and gained a new customer. Your loss.

Collecting vinyl can be an expensive hobby. I put it off for 15 years because of that. But as I start to build a collection and learn what places are disappointing (thrift shops), Vinyl Cafe is one of the few record stores to rely upon.
Thanks to them, I've been able to create an affordable collection, especially when it comes to classic albums of the 60s and 70s.

This is the best record shop in Longmont. For a small shop, has a good selection and their prices are very fair. I try to stop in whenever I am visiting Longmont.

Love the Vinyl Cafe, great selection of down tempo and trip hop, electronic, rock and pretty much anything else you might want. Could use a bit more techno 😉 Martin is a good guy, always down to talk music

The owner is SO friendly. He has gone out of his way to give me advice in finding rare vinyls numerous times. I always make sure to stop by here when I am in town! Fair prices, vinyls are neatly organized!
