There’s just something almost magical about the Boulder Bookstore. It’s 50 plus year history is a great local success story, the attention to detail and flow of the multiple level store makes for a great shopping experience. If you’re in Boulder be sure to spend some time in this iconic store and buy local!

this is such a cute spot! i absolutely adored the recommended section. i ended up finding a lot of books that i would have previously overlooked. they had such a great variety of popular books mixed with more indie books. i will absolutely be back.

I had a disappointing experience at the Boulder Book Shop. An older lady on staff was rude and refused to let us use the restroom for a diaper change, despite another employee's agreement. As paying customers, this treatment was unwarranted and disheartening. I left feeling unwelcome, even after purchasing books for my child. I cannot recommend this store, especially for families. It's unfortunate that such unfriendly service overshadowed our visit to what could have been a pleasant bookstore experience. I advise others to consider alternatives when shopping for children's books.

Editing to add after owner's review: it has been mentioned originally in my review that even after one staff agreed to let us use the restroom for a diaper change, another lady very rudely stopped us. We did not look homeless nor were we going to do drugs. Our baby was very much visible. We had bought books a few moments ago. You can see another mother write about the same experience a few months ago so I am surprised that the owner does not know what happened. Please take off baby changing station signs from your bathroom walls if you don't intend for mothers/ parents to use them. Homelessness is an issue in many major cities but don't punish parents and kids for this.

Amazing selection of new and used books. This is the best book store I've been to between pueblo and Boulder along the i-25 corridor. I've been to just about all bookstores from Springs and Denver and oddly they have nothing that compares. I was able to purchase 3 books and wanted to purchase a half dozen more. Keep up the good work!

Amazing to see the number of people on a cold day in January milling through the Bookstore! Iconic building and a library of book selections on any subject - both fiction and non-fiction. Tons of great gift items as well.

If you like - I mean really like - bookstores, you will spend hours in this place wondering the three floors of books. They have books all of the place and an almost infinite variety from which to choose.
A definite must stop for any and all book lovers.

Great bookstore. Incredibly vibrant and lively space with all the books I have ever wanted so far. Lots of Shambala offerings, hard to find psychology books and a wonderful selection of mystery for starters. Staff helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. This is my go to place in Boulder when I have a bit of “me time”.
